Been listening to the original cast recording of Jesus Christ superstar w/ Ian Gillian. His singing is very cool. I want a cd w/ Sebastian, but I guess I have to go to chinatown for that.

When I saw JCS, it was so funny to see Bach's 1st entrance during the overture. He wasn't singing, but climbing around etc......He was such a rock star!

All the joking was about Sebastian, not Ian Gillian. Ian is the guy that started it all. I'm not a huge deep purple fan, but I really like his voice. He inspired halford, bach, harnell. Harnell is the guy in tnt. He sounds a bit like Gillian at times. Ian is great in Gathsemede.

thats hilarious jesus doing a stage dive ;D. I almost had a panic attach watching him climb the stairs it was rather dark but he made it . Hey peggy do you remember some kid at the Mulchahy's show that had a shirt with jesus and on the bottom said Sebastian Bach . I think he actually threw that up to BAz during the show . Sharon Zac's girl

Ive seen Ian Gillian live with Deep Purple live many times and the whole band rock.. These guys are close to 60 yet still rockin like when they just started.. wicked band..
I have a copy of Ian Gillian's version of gethsemane as well as a low quality version from baz.. Both versions are awesome... and u cant say that one is better than the other coz they took a totally different approach and interpretation to the song.. Ian's version was very structured, polished and very classic rock while Baz's version was very emotional, wild and makes u want to inflict pain to your body to actually feel the torture that jesus went through,,.. (baz's version had more impact though)

I have the original vinyl record of JCS. Always loved Ian Gillian - big fan of Deep Purple. Then Ted Neeley did the play. Loved it. Then Sebastian, loved it. Overall, I love the play.
But - I am NOT close to 60.

I also have the original cast album with Ian Gillian and I love the music.

That is sooo awesome! He really went to see the show? Did he go back stage to meet Sebastian? I wonder how that went.
