LESTAT * Palace Theatre * First Preview: March 11, 2006 * Opening: April 13 * Director: Robert Jess Roth * Choreographer: Matt West * Cast: Hugh Panaro, Carolee Carmello, Jack Noseworthy * Elton John and Bernie Taupin's new musical based on Anne Rice's vampire novels' lead character. This must be what you read Michele. There is a ton of great stuff coming in 2006. Sebastian would be great as Lestat. I would love to see him play that role!!!!!!!!!!!! www.lestat.com/#~April

Sebastian did say he prefers to 'pick up' the part after the first guy leaves. So your talking a good six to eight months from now. Long time to have your heart palpitating.

They have been advertising it on the Classical Music station here. Sounds great. It will be touring for three months before it opens on Broadway. Don't know the guy in the lead.

I Modified it to say Dracula & Lestat since the origin of the thread started under Dracula being a Part Baz was interested in. Die young Live Forever! That is so Sebastian, there has to be a way to get him on this Show! But may be picking it up after the first guy is not a bad plan cause we still want are CD

She won't have any say in the matter. She originally fought long and hard to get someone other than Tom Cruise for the film but they wouldn't budge. HOWEVER, she could drop his name by the producers.

i think, that if Baz really wants to do this part, then it'll happen sooner or later anyway ... seems to me he always gets what he's after ......

I recieved Email from them as well but I refuse to see this play without Sebastian as Lestat. If I were still in NY I would definately go - with or without Sebastian. I love the character of Lestat, I like Anne Rice's books, and I enjoy the music of Elton John & Bernie Taupin. If it were Sebastian in the role, I would have my plane tix to be there for the opening.

I'd only see it if Sebastian was in it too. Not because it won't be good, but because he's the only excuse I have to fork out the money.

I've been to all of his shows, and there is no doubt that he brought mass attention to the show, and introduced so many people to theatre.
He would pack the place!
He did it in Broadway, and all over the country...night after night...after night...PACKED!

Well, everytime I read anything that describes Lestat....someone keeps popping in my head....wonder who that could be? She describes him perfectly....except for the eye color. But That could be easily fixed!
