I guess Slave to the Grind, why? hmmm.... because it is the first CD of Skid Row I bought and listen to all the time. Not the best reason but it is a reason --Kip

Mine would have to be Skid Row, as i haven't listern to the other two properly ((hears big gasp, of shock from everyone)) . But i love in a darkened room on the Slave to the Grind Album - only cause i seen on the video, oh and Wasted Time is absolutly one of my favourites too. Lisa

Slave To The Grind definitely, even though Skid Row does have I Remember You, YGW, 18 & Life etc but I find it a much more varied and technically advanced album which can satisfy any mood I'm in.

Slave To the Grind is one of the best metal albums EVER!!! But Subhuman Race is probably tied with it in my book. This album was WAY before it's time. If it were released today? It would be huge.

Josh I AGREE 100% DUDE, iprobably go for subhuman a lil more cuz you never heard it much on the radio, etc...plus who didn't absolutely play to death the slave album...lol...i'll never forget when i saw the slave tour, it was at an indoor coliseum, i believe in the afternoon, me and my bud went to the ny yankee opening game, and then that night, it was skids and gnr playing together. i tell ya, i believe the 2nd song was monkey biz, and when baz hit the opening scream, the place absolutely exploded...i knew right then, it was gonna be a good night...lol

Each cd has memories because they each came out during a specific time in my life. Each one seemed to characterise what Iwas going through at the time. It's like they each had their own personality. Hope this makes sense.

Slave to the grind== it was progressivly heavier and the band seemed more like a team in some way. I was also getting heavier in the music I listened to, plus the vocals I think were stronger.

For me: Slave to The Grind. That album catapulted Skid Row into the stratosphere. It debuted at #1 which shows how hugethey were at the time. But in the end it's all about the music right? And that sh** just kicks ass all the way through. The writing was unlike what anybody was doing or had done at the time. It also brought a heavier sound to mainstream rock. For me being like 14 at the time, it just ripped my head open and took me to a deeper place. The themes and subject matter were may more "mature" than any other band. Bolan deserves a lot of credit, and Bas, well why the hell do you think I'm here? Because he simply delivered some of the most intensely focused, passionate, technically proficient, mind-blowing vocals throughout that whole album that just shook the core of my being.

I couldn't agree more Rockinpablo. There's just that certain "Je ne c'est pas" about Slave.

I prefer Slave to the grind, it´s so intense. No matter what situation you´re in there´s something for everybody on this album. Plus: greatest cover-artwork!
Second is Skid Row, just a kind of "young & fresh" every time I listen to it.
Subhuman Race took me years to really like it. Now I love it but I still can´t compare it with the other two.

Slave to the Grind.... because rawer, louder Sebastian vocals just rock. I can go on and on! That's not to say I don't like the rest...if I have to put it it order. 1. Slave 2. Subhuman 3 Skid Row 4 Forty...even though Baz did have anything to do with it. Tracks like Fire in the Hole... its a young Baz LOL

I think Subhuman was WAY before it's time. I agree. Eileen haunts me. wow. But STTG still topped it for style. Subhuman can't be compared to STTG or SR. It is in a WHOLE other league.

Subhuman Race needs to be re released. Josh I think we need an Essentials Skid Row CD. I have been eating up this series. I bought Ozzy & Iron Maidens Essential Disks. Basically it some of the best songs by the artist spanned a cross 2 Cd's. There is more than enough room For the best from all the disks plus some Live ,Unreleased & New Material? Imagine a True Best of 3 & 1/2.

Man thats a tough question...thats like asking if you have a favorite child hehe I guess though i'd have to say Slave to the Grind...absolutely love Quicksand Jesus, Mudkicker, In a Darkened Room and Wasted Time. But also Monkey Business since i will never forget when it first came out and i saw the video on MTV.. I was like WOAH! Skid Row s/t cd will always have a special place in my heart because it was the first especially after hearing I Remember You and Piece of Me. But i agree with Bazerrk.. Subhuman is in its own league. It is so different from the other two and just like the others has some amazing songs on there.

My all time favorite has to be subhuman race.. it was the most technical album skid row had... i just freakin love every single song from my enemy to irowill... it was the most original rock album of the time.. beautifully crafted riffs and awesome song arrangement.. its a pity that its the worse selling Bach time skidrow album.. 2nd is Slave to the Grind.. debut at no.1 nuff said 3rd is Skid row.. it is a great album no doubt.. this album was the reason that i got into skidrow.. i can still remember the day i saw Youth gone wild premiering on MTV when i was living in new york.. that was the beginning of my love affair with skid rows music
