PART ONE
I just got home from my "three shows in a row" -Bach tournee. So incredible!!!! I can't believe that this has happened to me! I'm so tired cause I propably slept 4-5hours per night. But Damn I'm so happy! ;D Do you want to hear about MY PERFECT FUNKING DAY???!!! I’M SO SORRY – this is going to be sooooo long message but I have so much to say!!!
After Tampere Sauna open air metal festival I drove from Tampere to Oulu with my friend Piia. We arrived Oulu about 3pm and met our friend from Rovaniemi, Heidi. She had already checked us in Hotel Apollo. We went to dinner, ate good food and had some red wine and celebrated Heidi’s graduation from university. We walked to Club Teatria while drinking ciders and Heidi sang some stupid Spanish songs – she’s so adorable and fun. We laughed and had fun.
We went to club about 8pm. Sebastian and guys had a sound check at the same time behind the curtains. I sat on the floor and saw them from a little hole and listened to them about 40 minutes. Sebastian sang the sound check with his clean voice - oh man - he sings like an angel. My friends bought me cranberry long drink because they knew I'd not move my arse from that point! After sound check we bought new baby doll shirts -with Finnish dates!
Sebastian and guys sounded awesome and the set was about 1h20min. I was rocking with my friends on the front row, naturally, doing head banging and kept my fist in the air all the time. I love Sebastian's voice and he's so awesome live. Baz is the best singer I've ever heard. (and Tampere was the best show that I've ever seen but back to that subject later)
The set begun with Back in the saddle, Here I am and ended with Youth gone wild (I lost my mind!!) and Angel Down. The songs between them were Piece of me, 18&Life, I remember you, Monkey business, Slave to the grind, You don’t understand (my fave from the album and naturally would have loved an encore of it – it’s too short song because it’s so brilliant – love it!!), Bitchslap, Stuck inside, American metalhead, Negative light (yum!!!!), Live & die (my second fave!! – it’s so hard to be your perfect kind trueth is vital… man I love his singing especially on that part!!!), By your side (it would have been David’s 64th birthday – I’m sorry for your loss Sweetie!!) and man it hurt me cause I saw it was so hard to him – I wanted to give him a hug then. That song means so much to me because my mother is again at hospital cause of her heart, diabetes etc and she’s not in that good shape and she’s only 57… I don’t want say what I’m scared of..) Stabbing daggers, and maybe one more. I’d have loved to hear Falling in to you live but I can’t ask more from that day – It was perfect even without it.
My friends and me were back stage with the band!! So surreal! We sat on the couch, chatted with John and Rob – they are so sweet and nice guys! It was so nice to meet them. After little waiting came Mr Bach. My friend Piia went to toilet and after she came back she just said Hi to Sebastian like to “normal” friend she knows and then she came to us: oh boy that was the man himself. We’re growing up in Lapland with SR videos, cd’s, interviews, posters, etc so it felt so normal to see him but understanding it was hard.
Baz is so polite, he said hi to everyone in the room and shaking hands etc. When he came to me he said that he liked my rocking on the front row, crazy rocker – Thanks Baz. I introduced myself that I’m Papillon from your BachBoard since ?? I don’t even remember the year from the old Board. And he said he remembered me here. Talked about many things but I didn’t have time to ask about the next album, dvd and book but time will tell. I asked him to sign my Angel Down album – you got American version – yeah and the Europian also!! Asked him to sign the cd that I ordered from him, my Bach2Basics, and he was pretty surpirised about it. I know it’s pretty rare but I need those rarities too and I’m eager buying those.

PART TWO Heidi got an brilliant idea: Pirjo/Papillon why don’t you ask Baz to sign your back so that you can take the tattoo what you’ve been planning? Baz signed my back – nope I don’t have any problems with taking my shirt off in front of guys – hey we are Finns and we are so used being naked in sauna so when you’re having bras and trousers – that’s nothing. Finns do go to sauna with friends a lot and usually the whole family goes together, naked, to sauna. Probably Baz was a little amused by me taking my shirt off and wanting his signature as a tattoo on my back. My friends told me that he took the writing job so seriously and told everyone to stay back and he did it very carefully. Heidi took pix of us. The ink got stained so I’ll have to use photos to get the tattoo done. We all told him how the tattoo is a Mother’s Day gift from my husband. I told husband about the tattoo idea he was asking laughingly are you really serious. Well in deep inside he knows without answer yeah the hell I am doing it. I’ll show you later pix of the tattoo when it’s done but I have to wait 6 months for that. Before he had to go back hotel because of early flight and they were all so tired, he said many nice things to me such as I look beautiful. Maybe because of Finnish culture, my personality I didn’t know how to respond to that. Now I need to say Thank you Sebastian! Because I’m a mother of two year old daughter (her birthday was 7th June 2008 when I was in Tampere rocking with Baz) I’m interested in little kids so I asked how’s Tiana. He said she’s fine with a cute smile. I asked them to come back to Finland soon. Please Sweetie. I lost my voice almost completely with singing, yelling and screaming for three days. My neck hurts because of headbanging, bruise on my knees and hip bones, hands are killer too but I’m so happy with this once in a lifetime opportunity, it was a big bonus to really meet him. I didn’t even dare to really hope for it. I’ll keep this as a treasure in my heart for the rest of my life. Sebastian will always have a special place in my heart. Today I had a flight back to Helsinki. Because my husband was on duty I came home by a police car. I checked the pix from Oulu in my camera those were disaster –shitty shitty dang dang machine or something wrong with the user… Thank God, Heidi got more good pix and I’ll post those later to you. So I saw them live three times in row, met Sebastian and band members with my two dearest friends (since 1985) in Northern funking Finland!! We've loved Skid Row and Sebastian Bach since 1989. We were little girls who played with Barbies and listened to Skid Row. If someone said in 1991 when I was crying because my parents didn't let me go to Helsinki to SR show - that 20 years later you'll see him live in Northern Finland, Oulu with your best friends and get to meet him and band members. I'd have said Are you Fuxking kidding me!!?? The crazy rocker, Papillon. PS: I’ll write you a review about Tallin and Tampere later. Now I’m too tired. PSS: Yeah he looked gooood , his singing was and they all were ;D.

Wow Papillon, I wish I had been in your shoes ;D Oh I am still so . And the reason is that I found a picture where Baz and J are sitting in front of metal fence (in front of the stage) and watching Scorpions playing their show (it was right after Baz show). And earlier I was standing at the very same spot when watching Baz show . If we just had not left our places I would have met him face to face . But we already had stand there for 4 hours so I had to pee and stuff. Damndamndamn...

Johku, I understand your bummer. Maybe next time, I hope so.
I thought that he's sure watching Scorpion's show but we chose to go to a restaurant. We listened to Scorpions (maybe 3-4 songs) but after Sebastian... well nothing is better than him so we left. Scorpions is ok, nothing against them.

I don't think I did any changes... I think. ;D Here's a link to review of Oulu show in Finnish but at least you can see some photos. It was positive review by some man called Teemu Kytövuori. www.mesta.net/keikat/uutiset/?aid=15713

One thing came to my mind: When I was watching the band's sound check in Oulu, Baz was obviously tired and said his famous sentence: Give me some coffee! I was laughing it so hard that my drink almost came out from my nose. ;D PS: as you can see some pix are working... some aren't

How on earth NOW I can see those two pix here!!?? Weird. You want to hear a little secret? I'll tell you even if you say no. ;D The thing was on September when I went to the tattoo shop to ask the guy: "would you do that singature on my bach if I was pregnant?" You can guess the answer - NO! So I'll have to wait until next year after I've stopped breast feeding . Yep, my daughter's going to have a little sister or brother on May 2009. But I wanted that tattoo so badly asap. I've already waited for it about 6 months and I'll wait another year more... Sigh.

Thanks Jojo & Aussiegirl! I'll feel good again on May 2009. I knew that my question about the tattoo was desperate but had to ask about. If someone is having the same "problem" the answer why not is this: There's no medical evidence that the tattooing harms the baby but if you'll have complications afterwards with it and need antibiotics etc. That's why they don't do it. But maybe there are many kind of tattooers with different kinds of ethics/morals. But I'll have my Baz's signature on my bach - much later. But I will!!

I must be insane I loved being pregnant.. and I think a great excuse to eat what ever you want when ever you want... and your allowed to get grumpy and blame hormones haha.... On the tattoo side I think the only reason for not tattoo is your immune system is lower when pregnant so more open to infection and what not which could harm baby so just not worth the risk... but May will come soon enough hang in there...

I'm grumpy wheter I'm "in hormones" or not + stubborn. Today one guy at work asked me: are all the women from Northern Finland as bad ass as you ? I answered with a laugh: Nope, they're even worse. ;D I eat all the time. Friends at work just asked how don't I get weight.. I eat pretty healthy but very often, ofcourse little chocolate and salmiak. I can eat it because of low blood pressure. I've passed out too many times but positive thing now is I don't need to "hug toilet seat" anymore. Lucky me. But like you said the risk taking a tattoo is not worth it. But I can already see that signature tattoo on my bach. And planning a second... But I'm so damn happy when this month is over - the hardest part (hope so - knocking my own head) of this year is behind because we are moving in to our house next week, it's freaking ready. Then I can listen to music as loud as I want!! PS: I saw that Baz has logged in here yesterday. Message to Baz: Sorry Sweetie! I'm not trying to change this board to a babyboard!! I'll try to keep this matter as down as I can, hmm okay?

Congratulations Papillon! ;D Thansk Fanglette! Soon I'll guide two children into rock and roll world!! I've already done that to my little brother, 10 years younger but about 6,3 feet.. I made one mistake with little brother when I gave him "shitty shitty dang dang" cd's (Finnish bands) and he began to like those! That was my punishment. Shite, now I know that I'll throw those to trash.

Now when I should be packing things up I'm just too tired. But I've got four days so I can make it... I'll be seven days off work. Kind of one week summer holiday - and it's snowing now! Awesome! The baby thing is so sweet that I feel nauseated. Ofcourse I'm happy about it.
