My favorite singer ever is Sebastian Bach (of course), and I was really exited about his gig at the Sweden Rock Festival. He did a show there in 2005 and it was just AWESOME! The same morning, just hours before the show is about to start, we hear that it's canceled. I was so sad and angry! I read the official explanation, and it seems my hero made a to tight schedule. WHY?! I still love him and his wonderful music, even tough I paid about 6000 Swedish crowns for the festival pass and the train ride. 6000 crowns is about 600 euros, little bit more. Does anyone have some inside information if Sebastian is planning maybe another gig here in Sweden? I just have to see him sing the songs from the new album live! Rock on!

All I can say is, u never know. He does have others that 'help' with the 'scheduling' by management, etc., and sometimes it gets a bit screwed up trying to hit every venue he wants to and being 'pushed' really hard. If the festival would have given him a bit of 'wiggle room' he'd have made it. Maybe next year.

Yeah, I heard about that. I actully screamd at some of the people working there because of that... Just can't understand how they couldn't let him play when so many people came there just to see him.

Well... I felt the same way - but how would the organizers have solved this? If 5000 people showed up just to see Bach, maybe 6000 people would miss their favourite band just because they had swapped their slots and started playing before they were supposed to...
Maybe they could have let him play a smaller stage, much smaller, to make it - I don't think Sebastian knew they were playing the MAIN stage! (that's why they had the first slot of the day).
Either way - please reschedual your gig in Sweden - GOTHENBURG preferably!!!!

You're right... but even so, I would have built him a stage on my own just to see him! Yeah, gothenburg would be great! Let's just hope he sees this and gets there!

(Baz posted a major blog about what happened at his myspace) Totally AGREE on Gothenburg! Swedens metal mecka =)

Hopefully next Sweden Rock gig will NOT be cancelled !!! Of course I asume they will book him for the next Sweden Rock Festival 2010.
2008's gig was cancelled. In 2009's he had to turn the festival down because the problems with bandmembers...So hope 2010 will turn out otherwise....

Was this Bobby wrist/hand break or was this the plane they missed due to Airflight hassles? **Edit*** Never mind.. I READ the whole thread. doh! it was that horrible flight / airline hassle + the gig's 'non' compromising that Baz and the guys didn't make it. ..- Yeah.. let's hope THAT doesn't happen again

In 2008 he was ment to play on Sweden Rock Festival, but it was this trouble at the airport.
In 2009 he wasn't even meant to play there, well, they wanted to book him but he had to turn the show down because he couldn't get hold of all his bandmembers. This has something to do with the trouble he begun to have with some of the bandmembers, because they didn't think the got enough payed for doing shows, as I understand...

like all the other bands on the planet.. behind close doors negotiations abound... .. regardless of any details and the 'why's' , I'm sure they will keep happening for Sebastian
