yes, well, this days about taste in music i think that the word "art" has been too extended, and thats exactly why MUSIC can´t be defined by "any kind of art that some pseudo talented person makes by mixing sounds & noises"... this century began continuying the last decade of decadence of the XXI music news...so, you can be a heavy lover and accept -even to like- other styles not too far away from the rock ´n roll music, or you can be one more of the mass people and consume whats "in vogue" just because you don´t have a brain for your own...
Sorry, that´s just me speaking, no one you ever heard of -still...-

Peggy has known Baz for years. He's had many conversations with her as he has many of us. And many of us also quote him because there are things he says that we actually agree with. (and we talk music and he has stated that comment in tons of interviews). He's turned us on to some artists that we would haven't even thought of to listen to. Like Jeff Buckley. All she's saying is not to knock anyones taste in music. If someone likes something that others don't, we try not to be judgemental, most of the time. (i've dealt with that baloney with family that is not only judgemental if you don't like what they do, but have the idea they can bash people that like other kinds of music). If all music was the same, and everyone liked the exact same things, then that means music wouldn't be the catalyst it is to make people feel certain ways. Sebastian, as many of us do, has a very 'eclectic' taste in music, (be has been known to even listen to Phoebe Snow, and Neil Young). Although we may not agree with others opinions, but we try not to be 'rude' about it.  |

Sagan, I am not Sebastian's mom. I would never make that claim. My own two daughters gave me the name Rocknrollmom way before Skid Row or for that matter, the internet was even in the public domain. They gave me a license plate saying "We Love Our Rocknrollmom" for Christmas in the early 80's, and it's been my screen name on many message boards and forums ever since. I have no trouble making my own statements as anyone who knows me knows for sure. I have a very broad spectrum of musical taste, I have seen over 300 concerts in my lifetime, everything from the New York Philharmonic, Arabic Music, Opera, Broadway, The Rolling Stones, Backstreet Boys, Celine Dionne, Bruce Springsteen, and of course my absolute favorite genre of music Hard Rock/Heavy Metal - Skid Row, Sebastian Bach, Motley Crue and GNR. I used the comment about good and bad music and attributed it to Sebastian because he has said it multiple times both in print and in video interviews. I was not trying to impress anyone with it. I just happen to agree with him. Taste is also a matter of opinion. I'm also going to make a quote here "opinions are like assholes - everyone's got one" Who's to say if yours or mine stinks or not. All I was trying to say was that you should have an open mind about music and art and things in general. Just because someone's idea is different, doesn't mean they are wrong. I would bet that if your own statement was made by someone else about your musical taste, that you would express some anger. Haven't you had to defend metal to others - I know I have. I didn't think you were being rude. I take into account that when you type something you lose some of the effect of what you are trying to say because you can't see the person's face, and you can't hear the tone of their voice. You closed with "Sorry , that's just me speaking, no on you eve heard of - still.." Does the fact that up to this point you were unknow to this group make your contribution less valid? (And being 'honest' doesn't mean to be insulting. I am honest, but that doesn't give me the right to be insulting). And I try not to be. Also, I may not be moderator in this particular thread, but please be advised that as moderators, we like to keep this board pleasant and enjoyable so please be respectful of others feelings and opinions. Hey Sebastian. I am new to this forum and I just want to say that you kick ass!!!! I just got the new album for Christmas from my boyfriend and it is really awesome! Anyhow, I just wanted to tell you that I am anxiously awaiting your arrival in Philadelphia PA. I know you don't have any tour dates listed but you had better come to Philly when you get a tour planned. I had the pleasure to see you perform live back in 1998 in Levittown PA. You performed at a park-like outdoor area. I was in the front row singing every word to every song. I was even standing next to your wife and kids in the crowd. Anyway, at one point during the show, you actually gave me the microphone to sing "I Remember You " and I sucked! Anyway, after the show, you did a short meet-and-greet where I got to meet you and I also got your autograph and a kiss on the cheek!!! (Awww...your so sweet!) So here's my issue.....I came home from the show and hid the autograph somewhere so it would be safe. Nine years later, I have no idea where that freaking autograph is and I am pissed! I need you to come to Philly so I can get another one. I saw Larry Fisher a few times at my mechanics garage and at a Cinderella concert (Larry is from neighboring Levittown) and I wanted to ask him to call you so I could ask for another autograph but I thought that would be rude. So please come to Philly and please do a meet-and-greet and please let me get your autograph again! I'm guessing that you remember that show in Levittown because there was a girl in front of me in the line to meet you and she had your signature tatooed onto her stomach. I don't think that is something you can forget about! Hope to hear from you soon.......

I already bought the CD (so did all my friends!) xD and it's a Powerhouse cd!!!! Baz has lost NONE of his awesome presence and ability to move the listener.... Keep in mind I come from the Southern U.S. where men with long hair and loud mouths are worshipped.. Bach is all over our rock and metal stations now and all over the news on TV!!! His Angel Down CD is blasting from car and pick up truck stereos on the highways here in NC!! I smiled, I rocked, all through the album from start to finish, I even shed tears when I listened to 'By Your Side', probably the most beautiful rock ballad ever sung! It's so incredible to hear a voice from the past suddenly come back AGAIN and it's like he's saying 'Whatever is going wrong in the world today, I'M STILL HERE!!' I've read all the various topics and, first of all I think Baz should stay solo! His music and his presence stands on its own and not not only that, he's not just a singer and entertainer he's a stage actor too! Multi-talented, with a voice that none can imitate, angel faced STILL after so many years, Baz has the STUFF for ALL generations to love for forever!!! Back in the 80's he was a skinny screaming kid, today's he's all MAN in his looks and that MAN is better than ever!! Thank you Baz you dreamy smoking hot metal god for giving us all more music to LOVE!!! And come down to the Southern US sometime where we all love your music!  |

Hey thanks guy!! I haven't felt so great about a new album because Baz has really blown EVERYONE away with Angel Down! Here at the NC beaches, Baz rules ! Even his three duets with Axl were stellar! (and I'm not even a big fan of Axl Rose but one didn't overpower the other they jammed great together!) Safe to say that Baz is no doubt the world's Fallen Angel! I want one of Baz's autographed copies of Angel Down |
