Hi there people!
I was wondering if any of you already listened to Kiss new album, Sonic Boom!
I found It awesome, it brought back that Kiss energy that was missing on the last albums... I loved It!
I know that Baz is Ace Frehley's friend, but we got to admit that Tommy Thayer is a hell of a guitar playa!
Eric Singer is also the best KISS drummer IMO!

Yeah ive got it....LOVE it...its got a bit of 80's KISS, a bit of 70's KISS....there are a couple of dud songs in there but overall I think its fantastic.
My only complaint is that Tommy has completely ripped off all of Ace's solos, however having said that, Tommy is damned if he does and damned if he dont, because if he had bought a different style to the album he would have been blasted as not "fitting the KISS sound", so I guess he's done what was expected....im ok with that.
Eric Singer has a fantastic voice, that guy is simply great...great drummer, great singer.
Id give it an 8 out of 10.

I loved the new Kiss Album..... and i've always been a Tommy thayer fan... right from his Black 'n blue days....... some kiss fans are unfairly harsh about him........ Anybody heard the new Danger danger album?? how does that sound??

Ive got the new Danger Danger album as well and thats pretty cool as well...lyrically a little weak, but musically really good. Always liked Ted Poleys voice.

Well that's to be expected..... If Danger Danger attempted to be serious and dark with their lyrics they would sound cartoonish ;D If they weren't cheesy and lewd, there would be no reason for them to exist  I mean, what more can u expect from a band that names their greatest hits album "Greatest 'Tits' " ?? ;D ;D Ted poley has always lived his life by the three P's :- Party, Pussy and Paycheck.... not necessarily in that order  |

I havent read anything from Baz on the new KISS album...I know he was raving about the Ace CD Anomoly (which I also enjoy, but not as much as Sonic Boom). Im sure Baz has heard it......I know he is pretty much in Ace's corner, which is fine and understandable, but I would love to hear what he thinks of Sonic Boom...

I think that Kiss is one of those bands that are exceptions to the rule...they dont need adv/promo!! In addition, we all know the connection that Baz has with the band, that's why I posted this thread...maybe Baz could tell us his opinion on the album as well!! But if its against the rules feel free to move this topic, no hard feelings!!! : ;D ;D By the way... just bought Aces's.... Foxy and Free what a kick ass song!!! ... great record too!! |

Today's the day!! I think that there's only one VH1 Classic no any versions Europian, US etc. I'm waiting for it-.

When I had cable in our old crib I didn't see it either. Only VH1. Now I can't get cable to our house. But not sure if I can see US version - I hope so. I'll see it tonite if Baz will be on my tv's screen or not. Right now hubby's listening to Deep Purple and our daughter's giving us a wild dance show. I have to concentrate on that. |

I did see the show. It wasn't a new one. Sebastian looked very young in it. And he was introduced as Sebastian Bach of Skid Row. It was basically the history of Kiss, how the band formed, how they started wearing makeup, and what they wanted to be as a band.

Btw Kat. Guess what I've got? Except tickets to Sebastian's shows... Now I got a tattoo. It took about 1,5 years but now it's done. There's a tribal butterfly (my dogs wuf, had 4 papillons now only 1) and under it is Sebastian's signature. He did it from my passport signature not that pic which was taken 1,5year ago. I had time to think and decided that I really want to have it my back. That one is for rock and roll music which has always meant so much to me. |
