Well cool! Respect going your way!!! I keep and breed Tarantulas, have rescued a few myself. It seems, as you probably know, that once someone has an exotic, or knows someone how has some, they become 'experts' on them. So, before you know it they lose interest.. Again, respect! A lot of work. If your wondering what this has to do with this site, I named my first tarantula 'Baz', a long time ago... Cool, I love tarantulas, we have about 25 now, lost about 15 this yr. CT won'tet us sell them, but we are fighting tohange te law. I LOVE spiders!! That is great work you're doing Cyn and best of luck with it. I'd love to have a tarantula myself and my landlady would probably allow one, but no more pets for me right now, I can just afford the one cat. Deb

Although my friends daughter got one called 'Speedy' but he's really nasty. anything to 'tame' a spider? I'd think they'd pretty much have say on whatever they want. lol If 'speedy is nasty, then 'speedy' will stay nasty, soz. Some breeds, no, MOST breeds are 'nasty', some are placid creatures, if you want a nice one, get a Chilean 'common' (Grammastolla rosea), sometimes known as Chilean 'Rose' or Chilean 'Beautiful'. Latin names are more reliable though.

Deb Actually having a 'tarantula' would be like having 'fish' they don't make noise, they don't 'bark' or 'meow' so she would never know u had it. lol A friend of mine worked in a pet shop, and he had a containter with a hole the top, and fuzz hanging out. I felt the fuzz and then he said, 'look' and showed me it was a tarantula. lol I'm not 'particularly' fond of spiders, but hey, whatever pet people choose. lol
