here's baz's thought's on the final show. SebastianBlog 7.2.06 ANGEL DOWN VIDEO UPDATE #5 AMERICAN METALHEAD Muthatrucka !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SuperGroup Season Finale Comments Well I have seen the Season Finale of SuperGroup. There are some facts that I need to address: -Valerie & Doc, you seem to not understand why I feel entitled to some sort of control over the 'Skid Row' name. Please let me explain (although Doc already knows all this). Back in 1987 when I joined the band, yes it was already called Skid Row. I did not think up the name. But the fact is we bought the name 'Skid Row' from legendary British Guitar hero Gary Moore. His band 'Skid Row' was around in the early seventies & Gary Moore owned the name when we started in 1987. When the guitar player, bass player & myself all got signed to Atlantic (only 3 out of 5 members of the band were actually signed to the label ), Gary Moore heard about it & said we could have the name for $35,000 US Dollars. Snake & Rachel walked into rehearsal & said "WE have to pay Gary Moore 35 grand to use the name" & so we, as a band, did buy the name from Gary Moore. WE were all glad to do it because it is a great name for the band. I remember looking at Scotti & Rob saying "wow, thats alot of $ but WE gotta do it!" What I did not know was that Snake & Rachel put only their names on the copywrite / trademark of the name. No other members of the band has ownership of the name, even though 3 of us were signed to Atlantic. That's the music business for ya. It was not until years later after we bought the name from Gary Moore that I learned that we meant only 2 out of 5 members of the band. When I joined the band we had sold zero records. By the time I was fired in 1996 we had sold over 15 million records. Do I deserve a say in how the back catalogue is distributed, marketed, packaged, remixed/remastered etc.? Yes I do. Do I have any control whatsoever over my voice & image for at least 10 years of my career? At the moment, no. I hope to change this situation in the future. - I would like to apologize to Uncle Ted Nugent for being an 'unprofessional' during our show at the Empire. The song 'Stranglehold' is one of my favorite songs ever but the song clocks in at 8 or 9 minutes & during a 50 minute set that is a considerable amount of time! So I really did not know what to do onstage during this musically incredible but vocally nonexistant part of the show. I knew there were a stack of DAMNOCRACY shirts backstage that I saw before the gig so I figured, why not give these shirts to the people who came to see the show. I in no way meant to be 'distracting ' during Ted's lead. I'll bet the people who got free DAMNOCRACY shirts did not mind that I did this. Sorry Uncle Ted but all I was trying to do was get people to have fun & have a good time. - This is a reality show but it is more "show" than "reality". The world has to know that: a) Doc McGhee does not manage me (have not talked to him since March) b) Valerie & Jay are in no way my "publicists" (have not talked to these people since March) c) I do not have a 'stylist'. d) Unfortunately, there are absolutley no plans at this time for the band DAMNOCRACY. No tour, no album, no nothin'. I will play / record / whatever with DAMNOCRACY but at the moment all of us are busy with our Rock & Roll, Adult Film, & Hunting careers. I am recording my second solo CD entitled 'Angel Down' which will be in stores this October. See www.sebastianbach.com for video updates. My solo band will be on tour with Guns N' Roses this July in the UK. Hope you all enjoyed 'SuperGroup'. See ya on tour. Sebastian Bach

I cannot believe what Snake & Reachel did to Sebastian! It was so unfair!!!
But, at the end, I think that Skid Row doesn't exist without Sebastian; the group that carries the name at the moment doesn't sound like SR, doesn't look like SR, and will never be SR, however they called it. I am not saying that their music is not ok, I am just saying that SR doesn't exist anymore. Sebastian was 90% of that group!
It would be much more honest if they just took the other name, like Slash and Duff did, with Velvet Revolver.

Well, when I first heard about "Supergroup", I thought it was just another over- hyped "reality" show. But, after seeing some ads for it during "Metal Mania" and learning that Baz was in it, I just had to watch it! I mean, I have this tremendous respect for Sebastian as a true metal artist; there are very few voices in Metal, or Rock, THAT talented!!! Not only that, but, Baz has stuck to his roots, and, would never even think of selling out!!!!! Plus, hey, (being a chick) he's not only nice-looking, but also, has a humorous, fun-loving personality: even when he's pissed, you can still see it!!! What was especially amazing and fascinating to me about SuperGroup, was the synergy between all the different personalities! And, in the final show, you get to hear that the interaction within the band on a musically creative level is also absolutely DYNAMIC!!!!!!!!!

I'm so glad he said something! I ranted over on his myspace so I'll keep it to myself here. But totally glad he said something in his own defense. Because people that just see the show and don't know the history, aren't going to know the whole truth.

this was truly the best episode... Something HAS to happen with Damnocracy. the band is so frikkin tight...I So love the song TAKE IT BACH.. I got a great idea ... get the tour promoter to create a SUPERGROUP WORLD TOUR with all the Original DAMNOCRACY members bands TERRIBLE TED NUGENT, ANTHRAX, FOREIGNER, BIOHAZARD and SEBASTIAN BACH ..DAMNOCRACY WILL HEADLINE THE SHOW .. Each band plays a 1 hour set and the FINAL BAND "DAMNOCRACY " will get 1 and a half hour - 2 hour set.. everyone would win like that.. I can guarantee this will pack the venues... if a tour promoter takes this idea.. i want my royalty.. lolol.. but all i want is VIP / side stage access to every show.. ..THIS WOULD BE A KILLER CONCERT TOUR

I sure didn't know that about Snake and Rachel and the name Skid Row. I knew about them having the name before Bas joined and also about Gary Moore, but not that they bought the name. I had always heard that they asked Gary if they could use it and he said ok. I just figured they signed some papers to make it their own and that was all. I did not know they spent all that money to use it. Shows what I know about the music business...absoluetley zero. Wow, I bet there's a whole bunch of stuff I could learn if I was so fortunate as to sit with Sebastian and let him tell me about things. I'm sure I could learn things from Skid Row too that I didn't know, stuff like how they chose certain songs over others to place on different albums. That kind of stuff interests me, all the behind the scenes stuff. I'd love to hear actual stories from some of them about funny or strange things that happened on the road, people they met, etc.

Also, Doc said he nothing to do with SR anymore, which is bull, since on 'Snakes' myspace he WORKS for McGee Entertainment as a manager.

Well, of course, if they payed him a good money All that one manager could be interested in is the money. Not the music, not anything else. Just money. And when Doc said he treated Sebastian as one of his own, when Sebastian first came to SR, gave him place to stay, lend him money to live, that certainly was ONLY because Doc reckognized the talent and the chance for him self to make a whole lot of money out of Sebastian. That was all. Not emotions or whatever he may say. Any experienced manager would do just the same. If it wasn't Doc, someone else would have done it.

Doc is so shady...I dont trust him at all (not that I know him...lol..but just get that sorta vibe from him!). I loved Supergroup ...I feel like I'm going thru withdrawals now that its not on. What I loved the most was that you saw how Sebastian, in his good moods and bad moods, truly feels for everyone who comes into his life. He has such emotion for everything and I love it.

Hell Yeah I'M going through with Draw. It was not done to the full Extreme sensation. VH1 has hours of Jamming & Live footage on tape along with Breakfast Lunch & dinner yet what we got to see was Moments of Chaos. They wanted it to be Rock "n" Roll Sureallife. I like many other waited up to watch it tape it with no commercials hopeing for tons of songs. I wold love to slap the editing crew............ I hope season 2 is coming soon with Music. or a 2 hour DVD.

I finally got to watch the show! That was the first thing I did when I came to work :-) Such a work it was :-) I enjoyed every second of it ;-D
I still don't like that Doc... he's such a... manager, with every characteristic of it, but mainly with no feelings for anything else but money. I am glad he kind of said it himself: when he replied to Sebastian that he only reckognized a 'good horse to win the race' in him. At least he was honest. Sebastian - a horse... hm, he is more of a stud if you ask me ;-D
Anyway, the show was great!!! And thanx again, Snakecharm!!!
