Scott Ian from ANTHRAX spoke to the "Cort and Fatboy Show" on Rock 101 KUFO (Portland, OR). During the interview Ian talked about ANTHRAX's chances at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, 25 years as a band, VH1 trying to get out of paying him, his future in television, behind the scenes in the "SuperGroup" house and being a pop culture pundit. You can listen to the full interview (including Ted Nugent's answering machine message on Scott's cell phone) at www.cortandfatboy.com. ANTHRAX is currently on the road in the U.S. as the support act for ROB ZOMBIE. The band is expected to enter the studio later in the year to begin recording its first collection of all-new material to feature frontman Joey Belladonna and guitarist Dan Spitz since 1990's "Persistence of Time". www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=55731

Yes. He said that Baz is nothing like he was portrayed on the show and that he (and none of the members of Damnocracy) was never treated poorly by Baz.

www.bravewords.com/news/48452Hot Flashes ANTHRAX Guitarist SCOTT IAN Defends SEBASTIAN BACH In The Wake Of Supergroup Episodes Posted on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 05:43:11 A phone interview with ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian conducted by Cort And Fatboy out of Portland, OR is now online at this location. According to the website, during the 11 minute interview "Scott talks about his chances at the Rock N' Roll Hall Of Fame, how VH1 tried to stiff him his money, and how tricky they REALLY had to get to make Supergroup look like drama central." Towards the end of the interview Ian comments on Supergroup's portrayal of DAMNOCRACY vocalist Sebastian Bach as a diva: "What you see on the show isn't really what it was like in the house. You don't see the other 14 hours of the day where Sebastian isn't doing what they show him doing. He never acted like that towards me or towards the guys in the band. It was just the way he would react to the stupid things they would throw at him knowing the reaction they were going to get from Sebastian. They'd get 30 seconds of him yelling at somebody and go 'Okay, now we can create this story around Sebastian The Diva, Sebastian The Bad Guy.' He's so not that; they had to create that image. I understand they were doing their job because it was TV show but it's kind of annoying because he's getting a bad rap that he really doesn't deserve."

Sounds a lot like how most of us felt when watching it............. It sucks they tried to screw him out of his money.

Yes. He said that Baz is nothing like he was portrayed on the show and that he (and none of the members of Damnocracy) was never treated poorly by Baz. Thats what I've been saying all along. Reality tv is just bits and peices put together to look like something that really isn't, the only thing with reality tv is that there's no 'predetermined' lines, (well, sometimes there is, so that isn't even real) They made poor baz the scapegoat for the show to make him look like the diva. That totally pissed me off.

Yes, it pissed me off, too. Especially when they were talking about the name of Skid Row. They made it look like Sebastian wanted something for himself which he doesn't deserve Doc said Seb came to SR when they already existed a while. But hey! What about the Garry Moor thing, I mean, the group BOUGHT the name from him, and it was Sebastian AS WELL who gave the money for it. So that name DOES belong to him as well!!! I know we already talked about this, but, when I watched the show, I just could fell noting else but Yes. He said that Baz is nothing like he was portrayed on the show and that he (and none of the members of Damnocracy) was never treated poorly by Baz. Thats what I've been saying all along.
