Fairfield, Maine : Does is still feel like you have "18 and Life to go.?"
Sebastian Bach: I like the song and will always play it in my concerts, but I don't have shows scheduled now because I'm on Broadway. I hope to hit the road in spring/summer of 2002.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Monterrey, Mexico : Is there any remote chance of a Skid Row reunion?
Sebastian Bach: No, not at this time. I gave 10 years of my life to that band only to find out that the band name had nothing to do with me. I figured one decade is enough. From now on, I'll be solo unless someone like Van Halen asks me to join them. I'm just too happy on Broadway and doing my solo stuff to do something like that.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Monterrey, Mexico : How did you warm your voice before each show of Jekill and Hyde?
Sebastian Bach: Every time I sing, I warm up to Italian opera scales that were taught to me by Don Lawrence. I've been working with him since 1987. His dad and grandfather have taught Broadway singers since the 1940s. I'd recommend vocal lessons to all aspiring singers out there.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
seguin TX : You Rock Baz, I was wondering when your next CD will be out and when will you plan on touring??
Sebastian Bach: Tomorrow, November 6, I have a new CD coming out in stores called "The Last Hard Men". It's a side project that I did with Kelly Deal from the Breeders and Jimmy Chamberlain from the Smashing Pumpkins.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
New York, NY : I LOVED Skid Row, saw you in Jeckyll & Hyde and just saw you Friday night in Rocky Horror (you were amazing , as always!!)I know you'll be on VH1 and HBO soon, so I want to know if acting is something you're considering doing more on a full time basis or is music your main thing? Evelyn
Sebastian Bach: That's a tough question, because I am a very fantasy oriented guy. I've always collected books, horror movies, comics, and lots of science fiction memorabilia. When someone offers me to be Jeckyll and Hyde on Broadway, it blows my mind. To go from that lab to Dr. Frankenfurter's lab -- for me as a fan of classic American culture and movies, it's a dream come true. Yes, music will always be my favorite thing, but life has its own course. I have no problem acting in fun, intersting roles. It's creatively satisfying. This Saturday night, I'll be in a movie on VH1 called "Don't Fear the Reaper" -- I'm the reaper. That's part of VH1's Strange Frequency series.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lisa "Bazmaniacs" from Parsippany, NJ : Hey FREAK! What do you see as the biggest difference between your role as a frontman on a rock stage & a star on Broadway?
Sebastian Bach: Obviously, in rock and roll I'm in control of the stage, and it's a loose enviroment. Broadway is extremely regimented. YOu have to be totally congizant of where you're at at all times. And you have to show up on time! For $85 a ticket, you'd better be on time and do what's required of you in the script. I enjoy the discipline, and I really learn a lot from the directors I learn from in the theater. It makes it all more fun for me.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Huntington, WV (*the Bach Army*) : Can you give us any previews of what to expect on the next Sebastian Bach and Friends album, and how it compares to Bring Em Bach Alive?
Sebastian Bach: Right now, Atlantic Records is footing the bill for my second solo record, and is flying me down to Tennessee to write with Desmond Child. This guy has transcended three decades of music....after my Broadway gig, I'll get back to working on my next solo record.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE BACH ARMY : What advice would you give to people who have to travel to NYC for Rocky Horror and are a little apprehensive about visiting the city after Sept 11th's tragedy?
Sebastian Bach: No one will ever stop us from rocking and rolling. I'm pushing myself harder than ever, and if I can do it, my fans can do it.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Long Island, NY : You've been pretty vocal about your feelings regarding Sept 11th, as a father how did you handle explaining the tragedy to your kids?
Sebastian Bach: My kids don't really seem to care, which I think is really cool! I thought they'd be more scared, but they're into their video games and friends. One of my sons has a band. I think it's great. If they're not scared, I'm not going to scare them.
It's unfortunate that kids today have to live under a cloak of apprehension. When I was a kid in the 70s, I was afraid of nuclear war. The 80s and 90s were fun, fun, fun. It's sad we're back to a wartime mentality.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
richmond, va : How do you feel about the way music is heading today? Which present bands inspire you to write material if any at all?
Sebastian Bach: I love the new Nickelback song "This is How You Remind Me", and I love Sum 41. Those guys are so young, fun and hilarious. I also love Slipknot. They're like the Kiss of today. I also like Linkin Park.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Comment from Sebastian Bach: I want to give props to Rob Halford. The metal god will always rule.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pro, NYC : Any more interviews coming up for us to look out for on TV?
Sebastian Bach: Yes, part II of Crossing Over with John Edward in the next 3-4 weeks. They came to my house and did a second episode of me talking to my dead grandmother.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Garfield, NJ : If you could perform in another Broadway play, what would be your next choice? Will there be other plays?
Sebastian Bach: I'm in talks right now to make my biggest commitment to a Broadway production which will go on the road around the world. They want me for 40 weeks. I'd really love to do Jeckyll an Hyde again in another city, like Los Angeles or Tokyo.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Annapolis, MD : Any chance of a J&H performance of yours being released on DVD or VHS?
Sebastian Bach: No, although there are bootleg digital quality cassettes that do exist.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
rockaway beach, ny : Are you a strict parent?
Sebastian Bach: I'm strict in the sense that I refuse to condescend or patronize my children. I'm their buddy and pal, and I've never had to spank them because my voice is scary enough! I love my boys. I demand that they be happy or else!
