Felt bad that all the other topics had threads but this one. So let me say that, the original Skid Row was one of the baddest metal bands of all time. I remember when the three biggest bands in the world were Metallica, GNR, and Skid Row. They owned. There will never be ANY replacements for that original line up. Josh

Glad Someone Started it I have Started a few others.
Skid Row was the Best. There 3 CD's were awsome.(Not including Be Side our Selves or Stair Way to Heaven/High Way to Hell)
I would be a Liar if I said I did Not Own Thick Skin & The DVD.
The New Line up is Good but it's not the Same.
I keep telling everyone Baz Would Shread on the New Songs.
But While Most People Want to see them Together Again I think Baz is Better Solo.
It's Kind of Simalar to Ozzy & Black Sabbith I think Baz Has proved He can Stand on His Own

thats correct,, I saw SKID ROW live last month in Long Beach, CA and it is not the same without Baz..
The guys rocked,, and the show was OK,, but I closed my eyes and pretended Baz was still fronting.....
I miss him in Skid Row,, but he truly kicks major ass as solo...
baz rules!!!

Bach was Skidz to me you can't replace him and those songs don't sound the same without him.
When they were altogether though they shredded some major ass though

Seen them with Bach 6 times. They put on a great show each time. My favorite Skid Row cd is Subhuman Race.
Not taking anything away from Skid Row, but I'd have to say the top 3 bands back in the day were...Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, and GnR. The first time I seen Skid Row, they were opening for Bon Jovi.

I was forced to see new Skids open for Tesla a couple years ago and I sat sullen in my 2nd row seat in front of Rachel with my Bach Off hat on LOL... (they definitely noticed)
Just can't stomach a Skids w/out Baz and its not about whatever internal problems between members etc. There are just some things to me that are blasphemy, Skids w/out Baz and Journey w/out Perry are two of them. just my 2

I'm still bitter about being too young to see them when they opened for Bon Jovi. They were playing like 10 minutes from my house. My stepbrother got to go but I had to stay home. LAME!!!! I can't say that I blame my mom TOO much cause I WAS only seven... But I've made up for it by seeing Sebastian *several* times since!!

Journey was the first band I ever got harcore on when I was 9, when I was 11 I think they headlined Day on the Green in San Fransico which was a huge music festival. This was at the height of their popularity with the Escape release and I was so butthurt that my mom would not let me go with my best friends teenage sisters, I just didn't understand. It wasn't until my mid 20's that I stopped holding a grudge and realized that of course my mom was not going to let her 11 year old daughter go to a concert in SF with two 16 year old girls unsupervised lol.. I think my mom always felt guilty though cuz I took it SO hard, when I was 15 they drove me 3 hours to see Journey play it was my first concert.

What's amazing to me is that Skid Row hasn't realized yet that Bach meant so much to thier music. Like "Youth Gone Wild", Sebastian typifies the meaning of that song, lives and breathes it. He didn't write it but it is like "his" song. They should have swallowed thier pride and said "Hey you know what, having Bas is our gravy train and we want to stay on this ride". Although early 90's sucked for all those bands. But I think even now with Motley and all the other reunion tours, people wanna rock and Skid Row w/ Bas could definately provide a spark. He definately still rocks much harder than them, Thick Skin, ehh, not so much. He'd kick ass on it though for sure.

Baz said on the last board, 'if the time was right and the music was tight', but I don't see that happening yet.

Why would he take a cut in pay and promotability to rejoin skid row? They dont have a record deal, he does. They don't have a label, he has spitfire/eagle rock entertainment and atlantic. They play bars in front of forty people, he head lines festivals in front of thirty thousand. It would make no sense for him to even consider the notion. Yes, yester years were fun, but he is much better on his own. Plus, his new stuff is too heavy for skid row.

I remember when GnR, Metallica and Skid Row were huge it was an awsome time!! But you cant change how things have turned out. Really its most likley the best thing that could have happened, it seems that Sebastian is better off! Lets face it he is awsome just the way he is!!!! He will always be amazing!!
