YESSSSSSSSSSSS Clean and classy voice! Suits him just as well ! I would use this clip for those DVD's they compilate to learn you how to sing! (those who've ever taken vocal lessons know what I mean). A big plus for that powerful vibrato ;D

I was wondering when this was going to surface. It is one of my favorite performances of the song. I also loved the way he got the whole crowd involved. It was about 4 blocks thick and he had even the people in the back waving their hands over their heads. It was awesome.

It was killer to see. If you know where to look, you can see me in the crowd. I am at about the 2:21 mark, but I dont expect anyone to really spot me.

It was a great performance. The thing that made it even better was that he turned it into a Sebastian Bach concert even though a lot of the crowd were real Broadway "Snobs" You know the kind of people who are ONLY into theater and would never admit to liking a rock star.
I am toward the left side of the picture, about a third of the way up, wearing a light colored shirt. It is a very brief shot. A few other freaks were in the front row. I don't know if Sonia from Brazil is on here anymore, but you can see her clearly in the center front row. She has on red dress and a Suessical hat. Glitter and Bazmaniac are with her.

I caught the hats.. and have had a blast watching over and over and over but it's just too blurry for my eyes. can't make anyone out really, just sunglasses and shirts and hats 4 blocks!! wow!! and all off to the side bleachers .. that's terrific! did they have others from the show too? or just Baz?

It was just Baz. I don't know if they even still have the event. But the way it worked was that each musical had the cast performing the showstopper from their show. Some of them had the whole cast, some of them had one or two people and a few like J&H and Phantom had only the male leads. I went 2 years in a row and had a really good time.

I think it was my favorite performance of the song. I also liked only hearing it, not seeing him, one of the times I went to buy tickets. It was really cool imagining what he looked like. I know I'm a little bit sick.

Everytime I hear something from it, I get all sappy. lol It also reminds me of how close I lived to NYC and even if I didn't see the play on some nights, we'd go to wait for him to come out to say hi and see him. (I did go to the play 4 times including his closing night.) It was the best! ;D

I don't know if I liked Opening or Closing night better. Opening night was fantastic, just seeing him do the role. From where we sat, we could see that he was scared shitless - he was gripping the podium so hard that his knuckles were white. He has said that you couldn't have squeezed even a peice of paper between his cheeks. Closing night was fantastic too. To see how comfortable he had become in the role was amazing. By the end of the run, he wasn't just a replacement actor, he had really become a Broadway Star. I also loved the show right after Broadway on Broadway. He was so pumped up from having done TITM in front of so many people. It was great to see.

Looks like u cheered him up for posting it. From his 'myspace blog': [glow=red,2,300]'This is 100% Live. No Overdubs. No Protools. Just the song. One of the proudest moments in my whole life. There were approximately 75,000 people here (Times Square in New York City) at 'Broadway On Broadway' watching this, & another Million or so watching it live on tv throughout the tri-state area. I have been searching for this footage for years, thanks alot to whomever posted it !" [/glow]

Next time I will mail it to Baz too! I assumed he had all his performances on tape already. Guess not...
