MADAM X "WE RESERVE THE RIGHT" 50:00 EX- CD high in high school-come on come on-shes hot tonite-dirty girls-max volume-metal in my veins-reserve the right-good with figures-cats got your tounge-we want rock-stand up and fight. (note: This recording does not contain sebastian bach....he later joined the group after the release of this lp and toured with them for awhile before joining skid row. this group also contains roxy on drums who later went on to help form vixen.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
l MADAM X Rockdetector Biography« Back to Artist Page
Originating From Detroit, Michigan as an all-girl band, the Petrucci sisters of guitarist Maxine Petrucci and drummer Roxy Petrucci decided to go for a coed line-up and to this end recruited bassist Chris Doliber. Having struggled at first to find a suitable vocalist, the trio relocated to New York and discovered the perfect guy in Bret Kaiser. After the usual round of live shows MADAM X were signed by Jet Records after label head Don Arden had apparently been in a club one night when the group had refused to go on stage until they were paid by the joint's owner. Arden was reportedly impressed with the quartet's attitude that night.
The debut MADAM X album, 'We Reserve The Right', was produced by noted guitarist RICK DERRINGER. MADAM X made an immediate impression with catchy if simplistic songs and an over the top Glam image. Not only did MADAM X have an impressive vocalist in Brett Kaiser but Maxine Petrucci became an instant pin up whilst Doliber undoubtedly displayed the biggest hairdo in the Rock world.
Having toured on the West Coast with LITA FORD, MADAM X flew to Britain where a memorable performance on the television show 'ECT' reinforced their reputation but it was to sour quickly. as a scheduled British tour was cancelled at the last minute and the group flew home, never to return, the official reason being that Bret Kaiser had suffered a bereavement in his family necessitating his return home.
Kaiser was to quit and his position was taken by British emigree John 'Wardie' Ward whose previous credits included OVERDRIVE and TROUBLE. The band recorded a further album for Jet but the deal lapsed and Ward left for pastures new travelling through various acts such as ST. VALENTINE, LONDON, HURRICANE, SHAME, SHY and the OLIVER/DAWSON SAXON.
Drummer Roxy Petrucci joined VIXEN in mid 1986 for two albums. Her position was taken by Mark McConnell and Canadian frontman SEBASTIAN BACH (ex-VO5 and KID WICKED) took over from Ward and the band toured in America with a fairly extravagant stageshow.
However, by the close of 1988 the group had trimmed to a trio of Maxine Petrucci, Chris Doliber and ex-ODIN drummer Shawn Duncan. Unfortunately, MADAM X soon disintegrated as Doliber formed GODZILLA. Meanwhile, ex-vocalist Bach jetted to genuine stardom as frontman for multi platinum Rockers SKID ROW.
Although a second MADAM X album was believed to have been recorded, demos were at least submitted to Jet Records, it is not the self titled affair issued by Atlantic in 1988 as claimed in some reference books. The group that recorded that particular album are Black Soul artists!
Ex MADAM X drummer Mark McConnell joined Los Angeles based CARRERA, fronted by ex TILT singer David Montgomery, in 1989. The drummer later joined Wisconsin based act WARP DRIVE but was reunited with Bach on a solo tour by the (now ex) SKID ROW vocalist in 1997/'98.
The Petrucci sisters had another stab at reforming MADAM X in 1991 with LENITA ERICKSON on vocals and bassist Shelley Andrushko, formerly of DARBY MILLS & THE UNSUNG HEROES. This act did not last long and Roxy went on to found the succesful VIXEN.
Following the break up of VIXEN the Petrucci sisters were reunited in the short-lived all girl band HELL's BELLES, featuring LENITA ERICKSON on lead vocals. Roxy Petrucci has also recorded demos with her former VIXEN colleague Jan Kuenhemund and vocalist JACKIE EYNON. One particular track made it onto the MCA issued Nintendo affiliated 'White Knuckle Scorin' compilation under the handle of BOMBSHELL.
However, in 1997 Roxy was reported to have reformed VIXEN with original vocalist Janet Gardner, ex-PHANTOM BLUE bassist Rana Ross and former POISON DOLLYS and ENVY guitarist Gina Stile. As for Brett Kaiser, he formed KAISER after leaving MADAM X, pulling in his brother Bruce on guitar, bassist Michael Edwards and drummer Pete Kelly.
2004 found former MADAM X frontman Wardi leading IRON-HORSE, a Leamington Spa based outfit comprising a cast of veritable NWoBHM veterans comprising guitarists Alan Nyland of HANDSOME BEASTS and Baz Eardley from CHEVY, bassist Toby Pelham of V8 and CHEVY drummer Ted Duggan.
In early 2005 Maxine Petrucci launched her solo album 'Titania', credited to MAXINE, featuring such guests as the TALAS, DAVID LEE ROTH band and MR. BIG bassist extraordinaire BILLY SHEEHAN, Mike Pisculli and Maxine's brother Paul Petrucci of the MOTOR CITY ROCKERS. Naturally sister Roxy Petrucci handled the drums.

There's even a difference from when he first started with SR, to later and to now. Its called, 'testosterone'. LOL His Growth as a Singer & Performer is nothing Short of Spectacular. From Kid Wikkids Take a Look at Me (Awsome Song) to Everything from Skid Row,The Last Hard Men Project Bring "em" Bach Alive All The Tribute Songs To Broadway & Frameshift. If he's singing it I want it. I wish he would put up a section were even if we could not download them we could ad least listen to all the Unreleased stuff. The Velvet Revolver songs , MadamX Demos, Kid Wikkid Demos the Studio Stuff with Andy McCoy Clips from Broadway. We just don't have enough merchandise.

If everyone could listen to 'unreleased' songs by Sebastian, it would tip the internet like the Titanic. I'm starting to worry about you and your Bach withdrawals. Does anyone have an antidote for this?

Josh Technically he was about 15 I think...and I wish somebody would make up there mind about who in the hell it is. Sebastian was in Kid Wikkid when he was 16 & Madam X after KW so I think 17 is correct. The only song I have from KW is Take a Look at me which is a Killer song & his voice is not that Much different from What he Did with the 1st Skid Row CD. I recently got the song High in High School. I know this song was Recorded for We Reserve the Right with another singer. But Sebastian did do Demo work with them I believe & that song may have been Re Done. I have also seen Live Packages out there on the Net but have been unable to get Them.

Ok, please forgive me cause I'm gonna have to break a rule here in the interest of public service.....there are Madam X and Kid Wikkid files going around on the various peer-to-peer sites, like WinMX (which has finally been shut down, RIP, so don't bother looking) I'm assuming this is where the Madam X stuff that was here came from?(never got a chance to download it so I have no opinion on that) Now in Sebastian's interest, he probably should have all files sent to him if they have'nt been already, though I'm thinking he knows about this stuff anyway and has them. Also (a freindly suggestion) he should post the info on his site about the files, which are real or not (and there are quite a few that are not him but labeled as being him) Hopefully this would help these debates that keep popping up from time to time. If he can manage it legally he should also try to make any real files available for download. Thats the worst part about the p2p's all the fake (edited I meant misnamed sorry) stuff going around, this can be a way of clearing that up for the benefit of of himself and us fans. again sorry for mentioning the p2p's but I felt it had to be said

just look at Steven Tyler and how his voice changed after 70s. when you are young you are just starting finding your style this is true. not sure what the question you answering. The debate was weather or not it was Sebastian on the Demo Songs the answer was no it was Bret Kaiser. Sebastian Joined Madam X as did Bam Bam after the Band had already put out there Record. After watching Utube I wish it was him on the Record cause it's Killer Music. I've got the song Take a look at me the he recorded with Kid Wikkid at 15 or 16 years of age & he was Awesome. He was about 17 in MadamX which the following year he would join Skid Row & at 18 Record 18 & Life The Record of course was released when he was 19 & Went Platnum.......... I for one would love to get a roots of Sebastian Bach. The are 4 more songs out there other then Take a look at Me from Kid Wikkid & Live stuff from Madam X.
