We went to lastnight's show in Madison and to say the least it ROCKED!!! Sebastian and the guys tore the stage up. We were second row off to the side of the stage by Metal Mike but Baz came over to our side quite a bit. They played for 50 minutes and started off with Back in the saddle followed by Slave to the grind. I don't remember the exact set list by they did songs..... Back in the saddle Slave Stuck inside 18 Love is a bitchslap American metalhead You don't understand By your side Monkey business reprise of You don't understand I remember you Youth gone wild They put on an AWESOME AWESOME show! Andddddd for all the times that I've seen them ABSOLUTELY NO SOUND PROBLEMS AT ALL WOOOHOOOOO!!!! NONE! IT ROCKED....The sound was right on guys!!! They all looked great and had a blast playing, Sebastian was in an exceptionally great mood and spotted us from the stage. it was so cool. I prefer front and center but we didn't make it quite that far but I'm so glad we got on the side where Metal Mike was at, he is the greatest! Although they did a great set with alot of angel down songs it just didn't seemed to last long enough but we all had a blast even my boyfriend who likes metal but more into the classic music really enjoyed himself. now onto Dokken....I liked them 'ok' back in the day and they still are a good band and their set list seemed quite a bit shorter than Sebastian's. The songs as I remember where something like this Without Warning Kiss Of Death Into The Fire In My Dreams Alone Again Breaking The Chains Tooth and Nail Just Got Lucky Now there may have been a few more songs in there but I'm not really a big Dokken fan so these are the songs that I know and are familuar with. Then the crowd's intensity grew and the 'crunch' became tight, the lights went down and the music started. Poison were just as good as they were back in the day. they have always put on a great show anytime I have seen them, but unfortunatley we ended up getting out during C.C's solo because my friend Char's daughter ended up having an asthma attack and seizures most likely from all the pyro techs. She is doing ok now but we went to the tent and they gave her oxygen but when she started seizuring they took her by ambulance to the hospital. We were still able to watch the show from afar and they still sounded Awesome so I can't wait til next week for the ROCKFORD show!!!! Their setlist as I remember is this.................. Look What The Cat Dragged In I Want Action Ride The Wind I Won't Forget You What I Like About You (by the ramones) CC Guitar Solo (this is where we left) Cry Tough Something To Believe In Your Mama Don't Dance Rikki Drum Solo Unskinny Bop Every Rose Has It's Thorn Fallen Angel Talk Dirty To Me Nothin' But A Good Time Also my b/f did take some pics on his digital camera some came out and some were a bit blurry but once he transfers them I'll ask ace to help me post them here b/c although I've been here for ages I still don't know how to post pics LOL. So despite the medical issues we all had a great great time at the show and our main thing was WE GOT TO SEE SEBASTIAN AND THE GUYS PLAY! ;D ;D ;D They did have a big after party but we weren't able to go:( maybe next week ah? Anyway there's my review of the show I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed reliving it . jojo

Great review................. And what I like about you is by The Romantics.. Love Sebastian's set list..... Where they selling Road Rage? oops! yes the romantics i goofed and the set list was killer!!! i'm sure they were selling road rage 'somewhere' but like i said we ended up leaving and couldn't walk around much the grounds were totally muddy from all the rain they have gotten over the past week, they just throw hay down all over the grounds but some areas were nothing but a mudpit lol. i already know sebastian is doing a signing in the lobby here next week so as soon as he's off the stage we are hitting the lobby for sure and and i forgot there was a hugeeee article here yesterday about Baz andddddd at some point he may be playing with our own home town's CHEAP TRICK!!! I will try to see if i can't find the article online and post it for you guys too see. ;D jojo

Thanks Kat we had such a blast and can't wait to do it all over again! Actually if I had enough PTO and time available off work I'd probably try and hit all the surrounding area shows here but I'm stoked to have seen them twice this time around and if Baz does work it out somehow with cheap trick I'll def try to make that one too. So as I said when my b/f transfers the pics on a disk for me Iwant to put them on my pc so that I can post them here but I'll need help if you, Ace or someone doesn't mind? jojo

Great review thanks for posting it... and if you need a hand posting pictures I can help cannot wait to see pictures woo hoo...
So you still on your Baz high??? lasts for weeks I recon....
So loving all the reviews and the meeting up with fellow Bach freaks... to me that was one of the highlights of the Aussie Tour being able to meet up with people from the board was so cool and we had so much fun and felt like I had know them for ever... Now if we all just had unlimited finance would be great to have one huge freak party....

thought you might like to read another reveiw out on the interntet:
Michaels, Poison can still put on a good show Katjusa Cisar — .. –>Tue., Mar 20, 2007 - 11:17 AM–>7/14/2008 5:36 am
The ironic stood next to the steadfastly non-ironic at Saturday night’s Poison, Dokken and Sebastian Bach show at the Alliant Energy Center’s Willow Island. Young guys wearing cheap “hair metal” wigs from Party City posed with KISS tongues and “Rock on!” devil horns for their friends’ cameras. And then there was the dude who looked like he stepped out of 1986 in an acid-washed time warp.
Many people wore Bret Michaels’ trademark bandana and cowboy hat combo — mostly the people who were in preschool the last time Poison really meant anything.
Of course, it really wasn’t about the music anyway. Poison lead singer Bret Michaels has built a phenomenon on what essentially amounts to little more than the cowboy hat, the bandana, the song “Talk Dirty to Me” and the fabulously trashy VH1 reality dating show, “Rock of Love.”
More than anything, it comes down to his good-natured ability to call even the most dismally semi-cool happenings “awesome.” And mean it.
For example, the Poison repertoire is so tiny that they had to fill things out with covers of banal ditties like the Romantics’ “What I Like About You.” This doesn’t stop Bret from unabashedly calling out stuff like, “Thank you for sticking with us 22 years. Now here’s 1987 comin’ at you right now!”
No shame. And that’s what’s so appealing about him and Poison. When Bret says he’s “having the most awesome time,” you believe it. So bring on the five-minute drum solos! Bring on C.C. DeVille’s self-indulgent, screaming guitar solos! Woo!
Opener Sebastian Bach certainly didn’t have that shameless attitude. He whipped his hair through a half-hour set of sing-songy pseudo metal, starting strangely with an Aerosmith cover. He followed the hair metal instruction manual to the letter: Dropped F-bombs whenever possible, saluted the troops for “fighting for our right to rock’n'roll” and yelled out the name of the state he was in as much as possible (it’s debatable whether he could have identified the city, though).
Dokken played a decent set that riled the crowd and got the devil horns rocking, but they seemed a little out of place amidst the pageantry. They would have been better suited to a smaller venue like the Annex.
After not one but two audience-pumping songs (”Welcome to the Jungle” and “Highway to Hell”), Boby Dall, Rikki Rockett and C.C. DeVille took the stage. Then Bret Michaels rose up from underneath the stage amidst fire-breathing explosions and lit into “Look What the Cat Dragged In.”
Between the heavy metal show tunes and lame pop rock covers, Bret made some disarming comments about the Midwest flooding before launching into the essential power ballad “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” saying “I know you’ve been through a lot of storms and bad weather.” He also dedicated a song to “all of our troops, our men and women — thank you very much.” About “Something to Believe In,” he earnestly said, “Twenty years later, I still get chill bumps.”
The set ended around 10:30 with a flurry of mega-hits.
Shortly after the show ended, a couple hundred people packed The Bean on Verona Road for the “After Show with Bret Michaels.” At 30 bucks a head, the event — which had promised the possibility of an acoustic song or two from Bret — turned out to be a glorified meet-n-greet and a complete rip-off.
While DJ Fusion blared music of teeth-rattling volume, people of all ages anxiously awaited Bret’s arrival. While everyone waited, the three hats, three bandanas and three muscle shirts that Bret wore at the show earlier in the night were auctioned off. Each item went for around $200, with all proceeds going to juvenile diabetes research. (Bret was diagnosed with diabetes at age 6.)
“No, I’m not going to pay $102 for a bandana,” one guy firmly told his girlfriend, who’d just lost her $101 bid for the item.
The auctioneer held out one of the muscle shirts to a young blonde with “Elvira, Mistress of the Dark” hair: “C’mon, you gotta get a whiff of this!”
She did.
Bret showed up around midnight and was gone by 1 a.m. Accompanied by bodyguards and followed by a group of very young women (apparently hired for the event by the promoter), he made his way at a glacial pace from the back entrance to the stage, where he shotgunned a Jager Bomb, said some stuff about how “awesome” everything was and then exited the stage and slowly inched his way out the back door, besieged by fans on all sides.
Once it became clear that this was all there was to the “After Show,” groups of people left in a snort — “I can’t believe I paid $30 to see Bret Michaels do a shot of Jager!” complained one woman.
Well, honey, “Every rose has its thorn.”

And again I have a question... Is it usual that people pay to see singers/bands? When I met Baz there was a girl from Canada and she also complained that she had paid so and so much to see Sebastian. To whom they pay? Free world but in my opinion that's so silly. I can offer the band something like beers and stuff like that but I wouldn't pay to see them. (never say never - these usually happen later ;D)
Thanks for the article.

There are various things they do depending on the group I guess. I thought Poison was just selling higher priced tickets to go back stage and get a VIP seat. Not really sure what all the packages were for some of the venues. The 'after party' wasn't one that I saw at the venues I looked at I'm willing to bet this was something 'Gene $immons' started but I could be wrong
