;D"Metal" Mike Endorses New Purebuds Earphones Posted on Tuesday, April 07, 2009 at 23:38:13 EST
BraveWords.com has received the following press release: Amazing Tech Products Inc today announced that the new Purebuds Earphones, the world’s first earbuds to feature reverse sound technology and custom audio tips for a better & more entertaining way to enjoy listening to digital audio, has received a rousing thumbs up from the leading guitarist & musician in the heavy metal music world, "Metal" Mike Chlasciak (HALFORD, SEBASTIAN BACH, PAINMUSEUM). Now that Metal Mike has had the opportunity to experience the Purebuds earphones he has been unanimous in his praise for this hot new technology and Purebuds product.
“Metal Mike is respected all over the world for his incredible skill with a guitar especially in the heavy metal music industry where guitar licks and musicianship is revered,” said Keith Washo, founder of Amazing Tech Products Inc. “We are thrilled to have his endorsement of the Purebuds and recognition of the pure music & safe sound offering it affords everyone due to the reverse sound technology & custom audio tips for unique listening experiences. Metal Mike is an incredibly talented musician and respects the importance of listening to music in a high quality fashion, but also in a safer way to protect the precious ears he relies on for all his music. This endorsement from a living music legend like Metal Mike speaks volumes about the Purebuds earphones product quality and offering.”
Here’s what Metal Mike Chlasciak had to say: “One of the most interesting things about the Purebuds Earphones is that it makes listening to audio safe & pure due to the reverse sound technology. It all comes down to that I can listen longer and in a healthier fashion. Let’s face it, when I am on the plane for 12 hours I need a headphone that won’t give up on me and won’t tire my ears. I am always looking for ways to get the most pure sound and real sound out of anything – be in my guitar rig or my headphones. In the personal headphone department, Purebuds definitely deliver. In addition to this I really enjoyed the custom audio tips. I like the additional control I have over what I choose to better my experience. You get the bass boost tips in which are great for heavy music and full range audio in which help with other styles, be in classical or something less menacing than metal. The additional surround sound tips are great when watching movies or concerts on my video player,” said Metal Mike. “As someone who travels a lot on tour I also dig the Purebuds carrying case it comes with and protective jewel box for storage. Overall I give the Purebuds a Metal Mike Stamp of Approval! “.
Amazing Tech Products Inc believes Metal Mike’s great music success and global visibility at the pinnacle of one of the world’s most demanding music industry genres will help to further promote the Purebuds experience. Amazing Tech Products Inc plans to highlight Metal Mike in various promotions, including featuring him on AmazingTechProducts.com, AmazingTechBlog.com, e-newsletter, and AmazingTechProducts.coms’ YouTube channel.

What on earth does 'crickets' mean?? Means... if he isn't playing with Sebastian... I don't give a shit.. Mike's a great Metal guitarist, but...BUT not the soul of Zakk, Doug Aldrich...etc .. (which has nothing to do with crickets) but Sebastian needs to find a Les Paul, soul feeling... ass kicking real Guitarist, that plays with as much soul and talent as Sebastian sings with, please! I know ya'll love Mike, as do I, but he's not a fit (to me) with Sebastian... JUST MY 2 CENTS, he is talented, and very cool, but read the paragraph above.

I've been going from Tennessee to Indiana on any off time, so I haven't "traveled" to any shows in a long time.

But having seen Mike "Live" with Baz & loving the work they did on Angel Down I strongly disagree. Lespaul dose not give nor take a way soul. Mike is great I hope he Baz make a lot more music together but you never know. Life is short & Im sure we all agree time is presiuos.

Metal Mike's MONTHLY ROAR Newsletter - MAY 2009 SOLO ALBUM: My work on my instrumental solo record is progressing as planned. We are done with pre-production and are about to start tracking drums, then guitar and last, but not least – the bass. I have put together a short list of stellar musicians, and Metal legends in their own right who are generous enough to play on the record. Stylistically the album will stand in the Thrash/ Power/ Speed Metal genre with a serious amount of guitar playing thrown in. It will be a heavy record that will certainly throw a gauntlet into the ring off shred guitar championships. LIVE: While I will spend a decent amount of this summer working on the solo record and a couple of not yet disclosed products/ releases – I will announce a couple very select shows. I will then debut the music from my record – directly to you – before it even hits a store. JACKSON GUITARS - EXCLUSIVE STUDIO UP-DATE HEADQUATERS! I love my Jacksons. The fascination with the Rhoads style flying V guitar started when I was taking my mail-order Metal Method lessons. (www.MetalMethod.com). Yep, sometime in the late 80’s/ early 90’s while everyone was going to the beach, I was locked in my basement practicing my guitar. Can’t say I regret it though. Doug Marks – Metal Method instructor and creator played a Jackson Flying V and then let’s see Frank Aresti from Fates Warning and of course the man himself – Randy did the rest in the dept. of inspiration to play one myself. I remember running home from school so I can catch “Crazy Train” video on MTV – yep, brings back memories. I have been traveling and officially endorsing my Jacksons all over the world starting in 1999. From Madison Square Garden to countless local sweaty clubs these guitars have been with me. I guess this is a long story, but I am happy to say that Jackson Guitars will be the home for my video studio up-dates while I record my next Heavy Metal opus. You will find these soon at my Jackson Guitars page here: jacksonguitars.com/artists/index.php?id=311 HALFORD Related NEWS: April saw the following Metal God Entertainment releases: HALFORD: Resurrection World Tour - Live At Rock In Rio – BLU RAY DVD HALFORD: Resurrection – Remastered (CD) HALFORD: Live Insurrection – Remastered (2 CD – Live Performance from Halford’s 2001 world Tour). As a bonus, any mail-order piece out of MetalGodShop.com receives HALFORD: Silent Screams – The Singles - Exclusive CD. Mike has confirmed that hes no longer a part of Sebastians band:(..... Thought I would post link saves looking not sure it same link but this is what I found..www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=124072 'METAL' MIKE CHLASCIAK: I 'No Longer Felt Comfortable' Being In SEBASTIAN BACH's Band - July 22, 2009 Guitarist "Metal" Mike Chlasciak (HALFORD, PAINMUSEUM) has released the following statement: "I would like to confirm that I am indeed no longer a sideman axe-slinger with [ex-SKID ROW] vocalist Sebastian Bach. My decision to depart is due to me feeling no longer comfortable on several professional levels. I wish Sebastian success. I think he is a fine singer. "I feel privileged to have shared the stages and recordings with some of heavy metal's best and most celebrated musicians and in the process I have dedicated my soul and my heart to the music I dearly love. It is important for me to follow my own ideals on inner band relationships and business dealings. So for this book, my chapter ends here — it is time for me to move on. "I would like to thank Sebastian's fans for being a wonderful audience and I sincerely do appreciate their warm embrace during the last couple of years." Mike's stint with Bach included touring with GUNS N' ROSES and playing sheds and arenas last summer with DOKKEN and POISON on the "Live, Raw & Uncut" trek. Bach announced yesterday that he was "on the lookout for band members in the guitar and bass positions in [his] band." He said, "I am looking for musicians who love to play and create new music. Who need to play music. Who live to play music. I cannot make a good album when I have to pay all the band members to rehearse. I simply cannot afford to pay a musician to sit down and write a song with me. I myself have never once been paid to rehearse, or write a song. I do it because I love it. "I do not understand the mentality of some of the musicians I have worked with, who demand payment to rehearse, to get better, to sharpen their craft in order to destroy the whole world on big stages and in the studio. In my mind, a good musician, a true musician, LOVES to rehearse, plays all the time, because they want to get better. Not individually. As a BAND." He continued, "I am not saying I don't want to ever play with the 'Angel Down' guys again. On the contrary, they all know I would love to get crackin' on some new sounds with them right now. But they are all busy, or worse, I can't get ahold of them. The official word from the guitar and bass player in my current band, through management, is, 'Call us when there's some gigs.' What they don't get is, my heart is not just into playing the old music right now, my heart is always in creating new music and putting out another CD. Then there will be tons of gigs." Chlasciak recently entered the studio to begin recording his new solo album, titled "The Metalworker". Nine tracks are being completed for the effort, which is being described by Mike as "a record that I simply needed to make." Songtitles set to appear on "The Metalworker" include "On Leather Wings", "Tonight We Ride" and "Don't Shoot The Crown". Mike's first studio video diary entry can be viewed below. Metal Mike's last album under the PAINMUSEUM moniker, "You Have The Right To Remain Violent", was released in 2006 via C.M.M. Entertainment. The follow-up to 2005's "Metal For Life" (C.M.M./ Demolition) was a special-edition enhanced CD release that included bonus material as well as music video, gallery and a special message from Mike.

I just posted this on Blabbermouth as so many of them seem to be having a field day with this thread and I'm repeating it here as it's what I feel, although I could have said a LOT more re Mike. I kept it 'nice', lol. Metal Mike has bandied the word 'professionalism' around in his comment, inferring that Bach isn't. From what I've seen of Mike, he does seem to treat his career as a musician like a business and so uses the term 'professionalism' in that sense.
In contrast, Sebastian has often said he is NOT a good businessman. His 'professionalism' is a thus different to Mike's. And I think it is encapsulated well in this quote from one of his Tour Managers, Daniel Stanton.
"In closing, I started this diary off saying that I had many years of touring under my belt. I have worked with so many artists and on all different levels. I will continue to work with many artists in the near future but will tell you this: Sebastian Bach is the true meaning of professionalism...He didn't complain once on tour. He wasn't late to gigs or demanded stupid things on the road or in the rider. He was unstoppable and had a voice that wouldn't or refused to quit. No matter how little sleep he got, he did every interview, signed for all of his fans after the shows and kicked ass EVERY NIGHT." I hope they ALL read it on Blabbermouth!! Edit: Guess I should fess up that I also posted another comment before the one above as I was so tired of reading all the posters ragging on Sebastian for the actual bulletin he posted which was included. Here it is too --- Ha ha ha --- It truly amazes me with what ease Bach gets you Blabbermouthers all wound up about his life without even trying!
All he's done is put a call out for what he wants. Why NOT try to get exactly what you want? Maybe he will, maybe he won't. But with his talent, he'll probably get it and the financial arrangements are between him and those who choose to apply. What you all think about it is really irrelevant.
And for the record, I know quite a few musos who are exactly the same as him. In fact they pay to rehearse out of their own pockets because they have the same passion for the music they want to make that he does. I'll bet most of you know people who are the same as well.
They ARE out there people --- artists who choose to PAY and go without purely for the priviledge of creating great music. It's a need in their very Souls and satisfying it makes them very, very happy, whether or not they go on to make huge dollars from doing it.I know, I know, I shouldn't read their comments and, if I do, I shouldn't let them get to me, but --- -- I guess I do. I hate that there are so many detractors on Blabbermouth re Sebastian and I believe it does give the casual reader too biased a view of him. It's so unjust. And Blabbermouth is, unfortunately, part of the media as well and it does influence people. What's the harm in trying to give the readers a more balanced view if possible?
