*sigh* So Mike's confirmed what we suspected. I guess he felt like he wanted to be more of a a session musician and get paid for his time rehearsing etc, whereas Baz wants a BAND, where everyone puts their time and effort in and hopes to get some money out of it eventually! At least that's what I get from reading between the lines of both their comments.
Looking forward to hearing what some new blood in the Baz line-up can do! Maybe we'll be seeing a 'Savage Animal' album sometime in the future!
I've been trying to stay away from Blabbermouth for the same reason I try not to watch Big Brother on tv - I only end up yelling at it! I don't see the point of commenting on something only to bitch about it.

Good post butts I agree it is hard not to let the posters of blabbermouth get under your skin... and agree there comments can have a negative impact on the non regulars on blabbermouth..... But I tell you it surprises me they apparently dislike him so much yet Baz posts are full of replies??? I mean if you do not like him why bother...

'METAL' MIKE CHLASCIAK: I 'No Longer Felt Comfortable' Being In SEBASTIAN BACH's Band - July 22, 2009 Guitarist "Metal" Mike Chlasciak (HALFORD, PAINMUSEUM) has released the following statement:
"I would like to confirm that I am indeed no longer a sideman axe-slinger with [ex-SKID ROW] vocalist Sebastian Bach. My decision to depart is due to me feeling no longer comfortable on several professional levels. I wish Sebastian success. I think he is a fine singer.
"I feel privileged to have shared the stages and recordings with some of heavy metal's best and most celebrated musicians and in the process I have dedicated my soul and my heart to the music I dearly love. It is important for me to follow my own ideals on inner band relationships and business dealings. So for this book, my chapter ends here — it is time for me to move on.
"I would like to thank Sebastian's fans for being a wonderful audience and I sincerely do appreciate their warm embrace during the last couple of years."
Mike's stint with Bach included touring with GUNS N' ROSES and playing sheds and arenas last summer with DOKKEN and POISON on the "Live, Raw & Uncut" trek.
Bach announced yesterday that he was "on the lookout for band members in the guitar and bass positions in [his] band." He said, "I am looking for musicians who love to play and create new music. Who need to play music. Who live to play music. I cannot make a good album when I have to pay all the band members to rehearse. I simply cannot afford to pay a musician to sit down and write a song with me. I myself have never once been paid to rehearse, or write a song. I do it because I love it.
"I do not understand the mentality of some of the musicians I have worked with, who demand payment to rehearse, to get better, to sharpen their craft in order to destroy the whole world on big stages and in the studio. In my mind, a good musician, a true musician, LOVES to rehearse, plays all the time, because they want to get better. Not individually. As a BAND."
He continued, "I am not saying I don't want to ever play with the 'Angel Down' guys again. On the contrary, they all know I would love to get crackin' on some new sounds with them right now. But they are all busy, or worse, I can't get ahold of them. The official word from the guitar and bass player in my current band, through management, is, 'Call us when there's some gigs.' What they don't get is, my heart is not just into playing the old music right now, my heart is always in creating new music and putting out another CD. Then there will be tons of gigs."
Chlasciak recently entered the studio to begin recording his new solo album, titled "The Metalworker". Nine tracks are being completed for the effort, which is being described by Mike as "a record that I simply needed to make." Songtitles set to appear on "The Metalworker" include "On Leather Wings", "Tonight We Ride" and "Don't Shoot The Crown". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
I for one will miss Mike in Sebastian's band. I saw them live together 3 times Toronto,NY & Pensilvaina they where AWESOME. IM also a fan of his work with Halford & Painmuseum who knows maybe someday Mike will return:-( till then good luck to him I will be keeping an ear out for his new CD. I doubt The Halford band will ever be again, perhaps he to just wants to be a solo artist.

I'm sure Mike had his personal reasons for this. Not for me to judge. May just be one of those things. You know, something didn't quite jive? <whatever> I've put things on hold for various reasons with people throughout life. It's not to say anything bad about it. It just 'is' what it is.
Sorry for Baz that he's got to start over ...
Wish Mike well whatever he does though.

GUITAR WORLD Magazine Debuts METAL MIKE's 'Metal For Life' Guitar Column - Mar. 12, 2011 In the April 2011 issue of Guitar World magazine (Jeff Beck cover), you can find the debut installment of "Metal For Life" column penned by "Metal" Mike Chlasciak. The column is a monthly feature showcasing concepts behind heavy metal guitar playing. "Metal For Life" highlights ideas straight from Mike as well techniques used by several other influential artists of the genre.
The first column, "Single String Carnage", showcases guitar riffs based off a single-string motif. Each example is played slow and fast and can be additionally found on the accompanied DVD found with each issue.
The April 2011 issue of Guitar World is on newsstands now.
Chlasciak makes a guest appearance on the debut solo album from PRIMAL FEAR's Ralf Scheepers. Out now on the Frontiers label, the CD features Mike alongside such other guests as Tim "Ripper" Owens (JUDAS PRIEST, ICED EARTH, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) and Snowy Shaw (KING DIAMOND, THERION).
"Metal" Mike is most commonly known as the guitarist for HALFORD. He has also spent time in TESTAMENT, SEBASTIAN BACH and is preparing his upcoming solo release, "The Metalworker".
Mike leads his own Metal Heroes Music Academy located at Aarius Studios in Sayreville, New Jersey. He is a scholarship graduate of Berklee College Of Music.

Guitarist "Metal" Mike Chlasciak is putting the finishing touches on his new solo album, "The Metalworker". He says, "DAATH's Kevin Talley executed drum duties a few months back and he just killed it. . . Carlos Zema has also completed his vocal tracks and I was giddy like a little school girl when we were tracking his takes. He has such an amazing instrument. He's a fantastic writer, very melodic, but just as insane of a heavy metal vocalist. "I am back to clean, but still aggressive vocals on my album. It is awesome. "I am completing my guitars as we speak, and next up we will have a bass demon we all love. I hope he won't forget to bring his frets this time around. "Parts of the album will have vocals and parts of the album will remain instrumental. "Some of the song titles include 'On Leather Wings', 'Don't Shoot The Crown' and 'Hell No'. "I like to show respect to the classic era of metal, an era which I love and where I got my influences from, but at the same time we are here, not yesterday, but today. And, this record is a perfect reflection of that." Mike has released five solo-based albums with bands PAINMUSEUM and ISOLATION CHAMBER. He recently released "This River Shall Burn", an e-book containing dark and introspective collection of lyrics. He previously wrote two metal guitar instructional books, "Ridiculous Riffs For The Terrifying Guitarist" and "Monster Coordination - Guitar Boot Camp". He currently writes the "Metal For Life" guitar column for Guitar World magazine. www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=159510Cool new for Mike,If I had to guess the Bass player is Steveie D

www.youtube.com/watch?v=hElyGjDcDWE&NR=1Mike is a good player. A student of the real deal. I still listen to Dark Angel and Laaz Rocket. Halford and Bach..not that much. I might go see priest at the meadowlands and then Tampa 2 weeks later this November. Hope the new CD is good though. I honestly can't wait to hear new Sebastian Bach vocals and music. I got the new cradle of filth Darkley cd yesterday. i might listen to it a second time. How are the people in Japan? I am more concerned about that.
