Ok so i just return from the
Queen City Combat Challenge.
I took second place in the Gi division(Brazilian division) & 1st place in the No gi (Submission Wrestling division) I had Angel Down pumping in my head set to warm up great music to warm up to I was pumped,also my student Brandon took 3 Gi(not my division)
1st in no gi & 2nd in the absolute. I did not get compete in the absolute as my knee locked up it's getting better I took some Advil. Still on a rush Im going to put my head set on & try & calm down. A few of you on the board new I was going to do so & thank you all for wishing me luck I had a great time & did well.

I agree listening to Sebastian can really help you get pumped. That's what I play on my mp3 when I work out every night.

Wow 1st and 2nd place, THAT is mega kick ass Ace! And I know about the Angel Down CD getting you pumped up....I listened to it with my headphones every time I had to do chemo back in december ;p

Congrats Ace. I didn't know about the competition, but I'm glad you did well. So did you get a trophy, a medal or is it degree thing like black belt or something like that?

Congrats Ace. I didn't know about the competition, but I'm glad you did well. So did you get a trophy, a medal or is it degree thing like black belt or something like that? 2 medals 1 silver 1 gold. Black Belt/color belt tests are different. Those are done with in the school or organization to which a student belongs. This was a set event with spectators & all. |
