Your favorite Sebastian Bach moment...?

Ok so here goes...this could be a lonnngggg post....

Many of us here on the Board have met Sebastian, or have had a "Sebastian moment" over the years, but I cant remember seeing a thread about all of our experiances...?

Well heres the thread....go for your lives, tell us all your Baz story...when you met him, how you met him, or tell us about something Baz has done or said that's had some kind of influence on you?

Ok here is mine....(as I said, this is gonna be a long post )

So....in 1992 Skid Row was about to Tour Australia for the 2nd time. These shows were supporting GnR on the Use Your Illusion Tour...70,000 people at each show, it was a massive tour.
So I remember listening to an interview with Baz on radio. At the end of the interview the radio guy asked Baz what he was listening to right now...what Bands were doing it for him...Baz came straight out and said "There is a Band from New Zealand called SHIHAD (pronounced She Had) that are blowing my mind right now they are awesome" (or words to that effect)....
So, next day, sight unseen...band unheard....I went into the City for a special trip to hunt down this album from this NZ Band that Sebastian Bach had just given a huge wrap to....I found it. Bought it, got home and played it....to this day, that album remains one of my favorite albums of all time....in fact I just went and saw Shihad live for about the 10th time over the weekend...they are one hell of a great band...and if it wasnt for Baz, I may never had heard of them.

My other story is when I met Baz, in 2008.
After years trying and failing to meet the man, I left work at midday on the day of the Melbourne show. The venue was not far from where I work, so I walked up there and found 10 or so other freaks waiting outside...eventually, after about 3 hours, we realised we were waiting at the wrong door....so I went for a walk and found the Backstage door down a tiny alleyway....we hung there and waited, and waited and waited....it got to 5.30pm and just as we were about to leave, disapointed, giving up again, down came a big white Minivan...Baz was in the back, window's wound down...he saw us all and stuck his arms out the window and gave a huge "ALLLLLRIIIIIIIIGGGGHHHHTT" scream as the Van pulled up.....we all ran over and I was the first person to greet him as he stepped out of the van....he got out, shook my hand, signed my shirt, took photos...he was AWESOME. Spoke to us all for a good 10 mins and was so friendly and happy that we made the effort to hang around and wait for him....I told him I was "Dogface" from the Board and he said "Oh right on, I know you ive read some of your posts"......now he may have just been being kind, but it certainly made my day thats for sure....

The guys in Dead Star Renegade are all Skid Row / Baz fans and we are forever throwing classic lines at each other such as the famous "Thats the best lookin Pig I ever seen" off the Oh Say Can You Scream vid....just things like that...funny lines, etc that have an influence on you...hell I even got my Stage name from footage of Rachael Bolan saying something at a soundcheck from one of those vids!

So there ya go, a couple of Baz stories....TELL US YOURS!!

Some of you guys that have been here for years and years must have some amazing stories to tell...im sure we'd all love some good reading....go for it! ;D

Here's another long one for ya. My daughter went to school in Pittsburgh. I went to visit her and go see Skid Row. At the show, Sebastian mentioned that he wanted to see the venue rocking like "L'amour" in Brooklyn. After the show we waited outside to try to see the band. When Sebastian came out I told him that some of his L'amour fans (me and my daughter) had been at the show. He gave me a hi five that almost broke my wrist. It was at the time he was still wearing all the bracelets and he left me with a bruise I had for almost a week. When we got back to my daughter's apartment I was sitting there rubbing my wrist when her two roomates came in. Both of them saw what I was doing and said something like "shit you met Baz!!! It was kind of funny. The rest of the story is even funnier. The two girls were kind of embarrassed by what had happened. They were laughing and trying to tell Tina the story, without my hearing it. They weren't too sure it was something a mother should know. It seems that while they were walking home, the cops stopped them thinking they were hookers. I had seen the cop car outside and guessed correctly that the cops had picked them up. And they were surprised that I found it funny.

Things are so quiet on this board these days I was just trying to get people to talk again....ah well ya can only try I suppose .....back to the Happy Birthdays I guess!

l love ALL my Bach moments. (just remenicing on facebook recently). Anytime I get a great 'hug' and a kiss and to chat with him, is a great moment. Its been awhile, I really miss him, and hope to see him on the road soon.

Really seems all the work is on hold? DVD/Blue Ray? The CD's even Wikki says 2010 TBA
But maybe he is gearing up to Rock the world again & CFC is a stepping stone.


My favorite moment of course was meeting Baz at Edgefest
But I will never forget seeing Skid Row live even though I was a drink/drunk 14 year old lol
Niagara Falls they opened up for Bon Jovi I wore the Jean Vest I had on in PA
For ther Bach/Dokken/Poison tour that was a great show

I think my favourite Baz moment was the first time he responded to something I'd posted on facebook.

I've never had the opportunity to see him play live, so I've never met him (yet!), but finding out he'd read something I'd posted and actually replied to it left me grinning from ear to ear.

I know that probably sounds a bit dumb in comparison to the stories of actually meeting him, but if I'd thought when I first got into SR at 14 years old that I'd actually be communicating with Sebastian Bach at some point in my life... ;D

It's not dumb or silly. I know when he first responded to me on the Jekyll & Hyde board I was also grinning from ear to ear for a few days.
I also have a few Sebastian memories that he wasn't directly involved in. For example, Skid Row brought me much closer to my younger daughter. She was 15 at the time and wanted to see them. They were playing a dive called L'Amour And I wasn't about to let her go alone. Since I still tell the story of my mom not letting me go to see the Beatles, I went with her. To my surprise, I found that I actually liked the music, and me and Tina became semi-regulars at L'Amour.
There were times I looked like a Rocknroll girl scout leader. I became the "designated adult" who took Michelle, Tina and all of their friends to a lot of shows. Thank you Sebastian for starting it all.

Meeting him last summer 2008 with my two best friends who also have been Baz fans like forever. One of them first said: I don't know what I'd talk about with him. I just tried to ensure her that he's so nice just be yourself.
We've known each others looong time so our conversation with him was pretty funny and fast tempo. We made a lot of jokes, talked about the shows, he signed my back, took some pix, etc. I got the feeling that he had fun with us too.

I told him too that I'm from this board and he was so nice to tell me that he remembers me. When he came in that room and saw me he yelled I like your rocking. Crazy rocker! That was funny.

I'm still grinning when I think about meeting him.
I've met him in 2004 too but this was so special because of my dear friends and had some more minutes to talk with him not only a signature. I know I'm a greedy little bastard. ;D

Most of you on this board have actually seen Baz in concert. I, unfortunately, have not had that pleasure. Yet anyway. My favorite Baz moment would be earlier this year, thanks to Twitter. I was in school one Tuesday night. When I got home, I had an IM waiting on me from MOE saying that Baz had twittered me. ME!!! I was so excited. And still today, I still get excited when Baz twitters everyone.
That is my favorite moment, until I get to see him on stage or in person.

Favorite moment was standing with my arm around him waiting for April (April Showers) to take our picture. Her camera would not work so it took a loooong time . Sebastian did not loose his patience and was really nice about it. He whistled while he waited (terrific whistler btw ..! Wish you all could hear him ). Anyhow he had on the 'best' leather jacket (smooth and soft to the touch_!) Also, had on his Willy Nelson T-shirt (awesome moment) _
Edgefest comes in a very close second. That whole day ;D

Other kind of favourite Baz moments are those when I've received my order from New Jersey. All my t-shirts, cds, panties...
Then I felt like a kid again like it was a X-mas time. ;D

Read the boards daily for updates/new but not the biggest poster (where do you guys find the time )

meeting Baz and the band for their 2007 tour with gunners and solo tour in 2008 both in perth clearly the highlight.
was lucky enough to hang with Baz and the band on a few occassions is something ill never forget.
Once you meet the guys, including Baz you realise they are just ordinary, normal people.....but with kick ass jobs ;D

probably my favourite moment though was taking Baz to Bon Scotts grave. He was in awe and couldnt believe he was there.
This grave is becoming a bit of a mecca now with all touring bands.

Ok, My first Baz momonet..
Driving 10 hr's to the Stone Pony to see Baz. My wife not understanding why, she just went. The town scared the hell out of her. geez Asbury park looks like Berut. We were up front and the BT5 rocked. Maybe then she started to understand......

Then I flew my wife to N. C. to see J&H. Had excellent seats. Show was awsome. Wife was sicker than a dog; but then understood a little more. She tried to wait after the show for Baz. She was too sick. I walked her back to the Hotel. I went back to the theater and waited. Poor "Lucy" former Miss American came out, noone cared. Then Baz came out........The place went nutzzzzzz. I waited my turn, talked with Baz and he signed my J&H poster. He wanted to go have a beer with me..
Then after traveling to three shows last year. I caught up with Baz after a show, talked with him and he signed a pic I took at a different show. So, I can say Baz works hard to please his fans, and make them happy.

before his last gig in istanbul (it was 2007, come on baz it has been 2 years we missed ya ) i was telling my friends that me and bach are "buddies". it was a joke of course but my girlfriend (who is my ex atm) made fun of me A LOT. i showed her e-mails and myspace messeges between me and bach, old forum posts that he replied etc etc but still she was making fun of me..

right before "by your side" bach started talking about recording that song and uploading up to youtube. i have seen that speech many times on youtube so i yelled BY YOUR SIDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE and he looked at me. i think he recognised me from our previous meeting in person (in 2004 and 2005). he smiled at me and sad something which i cant remember right now (people who knows me can understand why *wink wink*).

i looked at my gf, she was shocked. my joke came true and i was the hero of the night. after the show i tried to sneak to backstage but the security cought me and kicked my ass ;D ;D
