I just read on line Joe Perry say that he would like to keep Aerosmith going with or with out Steven Tyler & damit Baz was the first thing to come to mind he could be the front man just listen to Back in the saddle

I don't think it's a crazy thought. Sebastian would definitely rock in that job! But now he's got his band so... but things can change quickly, you never know what can happen next.

I don't think it is crazy but I don't like it. I love Steven and Sebastian but there is no replacement for Steven. While Sebastian rocked Back in the Saddle, it isn't Aerosmith without Steven. I hope what ever Steven is going through he is okay. I am looking forward to Sebastian's new music and CD and hopefully a US tour too.

I don't like it either. I don' t think Sebastian would be happy in the situation. He is as much an "original" as is Steven Tyler. And he should be making his own music, not rehashing someone elses.

Yeah I reckon if Tyler has walked out, then Aerosmith should call it a day.....you cant ever replace a guy like that.

While Sebastian would undoubtedly do an admirable job, there would be no end to the insults and thrown at him. Why? For the simple fact that he is not Steven Tyler.
Replacing legendary vocalists very rarely ever works well. I mean just look at the crap Johnny Scab-astian gets (admitted there is a very big talent gap, but you get the point). The only recent instance I can think of where is worked is with Alice in Chains, and that's really quite phenomenal.
Plus which, more than anything I want to hear Sebastian's new music with Sebastian's band ;D

Im not surprised by the disagreements in here. IMO there is no band Bach could not front. There of course would be tons of controversial press. Joe said recently the singer would have to be someone who could bring something to the table not just someone to sing in place of Steven. Baz would bring plenty to the table honestly I would love to hear what "NEW" music they could come up with. But it more then likely will "NEVER" happen that's why it's a "CRAZY" thought.

I agree with you Ace. There is no band Baz could not front. That is my opinion too. Sebastian Bach is talented, charismatic and imo he has got the best voice in rock history. But it's totally different thing that would he ever want to be in that band. He's got his own band and I really like his own new stuff. I would love to keep listening to his new stuff. But don't get me wrong. I like Aerosmith (over 20 years oh my...) and I like Steven Tyler and his singing. My favourite singer is Sebastian Bach. His singing is #1 to me. I haven't found a singer who can sing better than him and who's voice I'd like as much as Sebastian's. As regards to live performance imo there's nobody who does better job on stage than Baz.

They'd probably look for someone with a close vocal similarity to Steven.

Aerosmith without steven, would be the same as skid row is without sebastian. "Just" another band.

An amazing vocalist with a distinctive voice, who pretty much is the face of the band just can't and should not be replaced.... ...wow - that kinds reminds me of something... Queen got it totally right with Paul Rogers - they never tried to 'replace Freddie, but took the band and the songs in a slightly different direction. Fx

any band losing the lead singer is a 'different' band. It just doesn't work.

Sorry Acekicken but I can't agree with you on that one. I think it would just open him up to more cheap shots from that element of the public that seems to enjoy slagging him. And I'd hope that Sebastian wouldn't want to do it to Steven Tyler as well.

If Joe was ill & Slash filled in true fans would cheer IMO it's no different that Steven needs a break & Baz has the pipes to fill in. Who ever gets the gig is going to make history. Of course there is going to be a backlash But it's the opportunity of a life time. Like Joe say's others have filled in for Tom,Brad & him self. It's a summer gig. Who ever gets it is going to need thick skin no pun intended,Aero needs a professional someone who can Handel thepressure of the gig. This is the ultimate challenge again Mark the words History yes indeed .
