I need to vent my frustration

with people that will certainly understand the way Im feeling.

When the gn'r show was announced for Chile, Baz was not included, it was confirmed that he was only going to be performing in Brazil and that's it. Since the place where gn'r was going to be playing originally in Chile sucks big time (a horse racing track, the worst place for a show ever) and the price of the tickets was too expensive - if you wanted to see the show of course, otherwise you could buy a cheap one and stay close to the stables - well my brother and I decided not to go. I mean if that was the original gnr line up it would've been different.

Then we suffered that huge earthquake a few weeks ago, of course our attention went to everything related to it, to work in the damages our property had suffered, organizing and cleaning everything inside the house, taking special care of broken bottles and glasses. Some shows were cancelled due to the emergency, and we thougth gnr's was also going to be cancelled.

it wasnt.

Only few days ago we were informed that the show was going to take place in a different place. The original one was thought for 60,000 people, the new one was for 15,000 people. The company organizing the show gave a lame excuse, when in fact they couldnt sell the 60,000 tickets they expected for gnr. Everything was fine, at least for me and my brother, when I hear the news:

Baz was going to be playing in the show on the 20th.


And here's my rant: WHY WHY WHYYYYYY. I went to buy tickets cos i had to see Baz playing live. Man, ive been a fan of his and his amazing voice since the first Skid Row album was released. Ive never stopped admiring his voice, his sense of humour, how much into heavy metal he is... he's just awesome... And his voice, man, his voice is just so awesome!

Skid row or Baz never played in Chile before, and of course I had to run to get tickets but the cheap ones were sold out, and only the most expensive ones were available. I couldnt buy them, it was too much money and I tell you its killing me not to be able to see his show last night.

Of course Axl showed up like 2 hours and a half after the scheduled time, which is a lack of respect to the fans. But it was killing me to know that last night Baz was playing in my country and I wasnt there, damn it!

I read articles this morning, saying he had said to other people that he's coming back in the future. Oh I sooo hope so, and in his own hopefully so we can enjoy a full show with him and his band.

This is going to be killing me for months, I know it.

I understand you. I'm from Argentina, I had the money for the tickets but it was all sold out , now I can't see two of my fav artist play together and I can't explain the sadness I feel inside me. Yes, I heard many people saying but Don't worry they will come back someday ... they have no idea how it hurts NO IDEA .

I'm argentinian. Fortunately I have a ticket so I'll be able to see him but a friend of mine who is a huge fan of him is also missing it...
Promoters here in South America (except Brazil) are complete assholes. They tried to get Sebastian with Axl a few days before the gigs, so tickets were already sold out.
Though I'm on the "lucky side" I feel really bad because I know that there's a lot of Baz's fans that are missing this & I think it is enormously unfair. Some people is just going to see if Axl's too old & fat or to laugh about him having "a new band" under the Gn'R name & those people are making true fans of both Baz & Axl loose their chance to see people they admire.

Again, I know I'm not the right one to complain but I really feel terrible for all the people missing this. As a Sebastian Bach fan, I know what this means for us all & I know how bad it hurts... I was devastated when it seemed like he wasn't coming.
I hope these fuckin' promoters are gonna make it up for you all & are gonna bring Baz to South America again. That's the least you all deserve.

And by the way, my best wishes for Chile!

I really do feel for you gia74. That was so sad to read.....so frustrating. Especially when we know Sebastian was really wanting to play Chile especially, just for people like yourself, to cheer you up a bit after what you've been through. I'm guessing you read what he wrote about it himself.......

"Which brings me to the subject of playing Chile for the first time. After the devastating earthquake that just happened there, I really can't beleive we are playing Chile. It's going to be exciting playing rock music for a country that could probably use some good old escapism right now. I wish I knew how to help in some way with charity efforts in Chile, maybe I should ask Sean Penn about that , he sure knows how to help out, as evidenced by what he is doing in Haiti right now. I feel totally honoured & humbled by performing in Chile, we are gonna give you the greatest show we can because you sure deserve some good times right now!!."

At least you know from that that he does care about you. It seems from what tilo said, it's all the bloody promoter's fault, not booking him until the last minute anyway. What is WRONG with these people???!!

Again, my condolences to you and also to pearljamgirl07. I do hope those people are right and the promoters have woken up to themselves and book Sebastian to come back ........... SOON!

gia74, I too understand your frustrations, Specially after the time you have all had there lately, my heart goes out to everyone affected from the earth Quake. Now back to Baz I really feel for you I could imagine how hard it would be to know Baz is in your town and you cannot see him... My god I would hate to think and specially as it could have been avoided, these dam promoters I have complained about them before so will not start another rant..but just bugs the crap out of me, Baz works so hard to put on a great show and these people are paid to promote him and all around the world they just seem to stuff it all up how hard can it bloody be?
