Hi Everyone!
Well the day finally arrived!
I was ready to make a fantastic chronicle of Sebastian's concert in Barcelona, I was determined to arrive very early to find the perfect place to watch the show, arrived there well before the time set for doors to be opened, but the queue to enter was already 300mts long... surrounding the whole venue... Doors were supposed to be opened at 18.30hs, but were finally opened at 19.30hs, already one hour late. It took us around 20 minutes to get inside. Sebastian's show started at 20hs, no time to think if we had chosen the right place! Does he tend to move towards the left? towards the right?.. Humm... Lights down and the intro to Slave to the Grind!
It is quite difficult to make a good picture of Baz, he is continuously in movement and hard to catch, these are the best we could make.
And this is the setlist
Slave to the Grind
Back in the Saddle
Big Guns
Here I am
Love is a Btichslap
Stuck Inside
18 and Life
Stabbin' Daggers
Awake
Monkey Business
I remember you
Youth Gone Wild
As I said I wanted to make a rocking review of this show, I guess everything has been said of Baz before... he fills in the stage all by himself, making up for the lack of scenery and pyrotechnics.. Personally, I think he's the personification of pyrotechnics. His guitarist is so young and skinny it is almost funny to see one next to the other, as usual he delivered everything he had and risked the lives of his musicians with his microphone twirling, but it was so easy to spot Maria at the side of the stage, that I will make a "pink" review of it...
At the beginning of the show she was just sitting there immobile, then she stood up and started making pictures, or video.
When Sebastian announced "I remember you", he said he wanted to dedicate this song to one girl, Maria, and made her come out to the front of the stage to say hi to the people, as if that was easy with the mini-dress and the vertiginous stiletto heels she was wearing! She graciously hurried onstage and managed not to fall while Baz pulled her to the edge of the stage.
He introduced her as "This is my girl" and kissed her passionately in front of a roaring audience! That was real fun!
She went back to the side of the stage and continued with the video shooting
During the song he looked at her many times and finally kneeled down in front of her at the "I'd live for our smile and die for your kiss" part... too much for this poor heart of mine!
Well, we enjoyed the concert a lot! Hope to see Sebastian again soon in a headline show!
