I went to see the GnR show last night. The show was great and Bach's voice sounded better than ever. They played alot of the classics Monkey Business, slave to the grind , eighteen and life,Youth Gone wild. They also played some new stuff like American Metal Head, killer song. Sebastian Bach is never dissappointing. I love to see Bach more than anyone on stage. When he is up on stage, he is home. His energy is always over the top and he is always very personable with the audience. I just saw him in July in Myrtle Beach, and I never get sick of seeing him. If there is a concert within 6 hours of driving, I am there. Everyone can thank Baz for keeping metal alive and helping bring it back. This guy is my fuckin hero. I have been a fan since the beginning of Skid Row and will continue to go to every show I can until he is just too old to sing. Baz never gives anything less than everything hes got. When you say the word METAL, Bach is the first thing that comes to mind. After Bach, papa roach played. They aren't my type, but put on a decent show and sounded good. They tried to keep the audience pumped and got a mosh pit started, but faded out and finished their set with a weak ending. We then had to wait 1 and a half hours for GnR to come on stage. This wait got people very ansy and alot of people were very fucked up and fights were breaking out everywhere. Once GnR came out, the place went crazy. I was a little dissappointed as the ticket sales were a little lower than I expected, probably 3/4 full. Not sure if it was because of a Thursday night or the lack of advertising. GnR played a very long set, almost 3 hours. . They played from 11:30 to 2:20. Because of Axle's hate for cameras, they were enforcing the camera ban heavily and security was jumping into the crowd and chasing people down that had snuck cameras in. I was pissed since I didn't get to film anything. GnR's stage show was excellent and Axle seemd to be in a very good mood and his voice is the best I have every heard it. I saw GnR back in the early nineties when they released appetite opening for Motley Crue and he sounded better last night than I have ever heard him. The only thing I noticed was that they had his mic turned down a little, I am not sure why. They did damn near everything from appetite and songs from all their albums. I was not enthused by some of their new stuff, seemed very mellow. Axle also gave me the impression that he is amost a pretty boy. the roughness of Axle Rose in all his Glory was not present. As for his band, as much that I would much rather seen the original group, his band now is very talented. Everyone on guitar and base are pheonominal players and highly talented. The Black drummer was also very good. All in all, you got your moneys worth, $75 for general admission floor. I was within 15 feet of the stage all night.I was dissapointed in the lack of people, that is north carolina for you. I grew up in Miami where the Metal scene was top notch in the eighties and ninetees. I almost felt like I was back in the Ninetees, a very good feeling. So, since this is the beginning of the tour, I will tell everyone this. You are fucking crazy if you miss this show. This is the best show since large arena concerts have dissappeared since the close of the ninetees. Go to this concert, you will not be dissappointed. I am going to try to catch another show on the west coast or somewhere in the Us before it is over. DO NOT miss this show. God I can't wait for "ANGEL DOWN"....If they push the release date back one more time, I am going to fuckin scream...

Would I rather see the original line up of GnR? My post was wrong, I started thinking about it and the date had to be more like 1988 when I saw GnR opening for the Crue supporting appetite. I was like 16 years old.GnR was unreal back then. They were crazy and were everything Rock and Roll "Metal" were all about. The concert in Greensboro was good, but way mellow and Axle has changed soo much over the years. I don't know how old everyone is, but going to these concerts in the 80's and early 90's were the best of my life. I saw Metallica back in the last 80's and they were so good. The good news is, I see a resurgence of the entire 80's attitude coming back around. I more than welcome it!!!!!

I agree that the show freakin rocked here in Greensboro!! Im just confused why the venue came here instead of say Raleigh at the Pavilion. I am not complaining, it is rad we are on the map again for some real concerts, instead of having to drive to Raleigh or Charlotte. I do not agree with the fact that Axl is composing himself as a "pretty boy". In case you have not noticed hairspray, makeup, and leather pants are not the genre anymore. Anyways the show rocked, and poor Bach!! He wanted to kill his soundman who looked 13 years old anyways. I had some decent seats, and saw it all. It sucks that Bach is resorting to an opening act, and supergroup shows. But hey, when you hit Skid Row you have to start from somewhere. P.S. , I almost caught the Microphone when Axle through it my way. I was beat by two half naked teen chicks, and a mob of drunk white trash that abandoned their lit joint to dive my way. Oh well, after the show I got a autograph from GNR guitarist as he made himself comfortable on the open floor after the retarded drunks left.
