I attended the concert in Whitby on November 16, 2006 and was really pleased with what I saw!
I purchased the tickets as a surprise for my husband, and I think I was more surprised than he was.
My first concert, and the first time I've ever been in a club has proven to be successful. Although I have sensitive hearing the people at the club were kind enough to help me in enjoying myself by giving me a set of of ear plugs, so that I could still hear, but not damage my ears.
I would love to see his concert again and the band that was the headline show was pretty good too for just starting out.
The only thing is I was really hoping for him to be able to sign autographs after his show.

I totally agree, the concert was amazing. I am also very upset that he didn't do autographs. i really thought he was going to stick around after the show. Then again the venue looked pretty rough and so did some of the people in the crowd. One guy in the audience got mad at me because i was taking pics, he looked like a biker dude or something. What an asshole. Anyhow, sebastian was excellent, and i hope next time i will get to meet him.

Maybe his next time out on just his own tour, he'll be 'bach' out with the fans raising hell again. (in a good way. By the way is 'norma jean' your real name or are you a 'marilyn monroe' fan? By the way, I am a Marilyn Monroe fan ;D.

Im finally recovered from the two back to back shows in whitby and Ottawa.
The night started in whitby with My wife and I leaving our holiday inn room via taxi, we noticed some large excursion type streched limo parked in the lot.
We arrived at johnny b's to a short line up outside the door, which after 10 minutes started to enter the bar.
The Club had three bars in it and about 6 tables with chairs, and 5 of them were in the reserved section of the elevated bar. I took the table that wasnt in the reserved section and put it there as it seemed like the best place to see the stage since it was elevated and for the most part was standing room only.
Make it Your Business- was the opening act and included Bazs brother Charlie as there frontman. Very talented I thought and I didnt even start feeling drunk yet. I was very impressed with these guys espeacilly their drummer. Charlie was really good too, a very talented singer, although not in the style of his older brother Baz..,
After Make it Your Buisiness's set and teardown, you could see Metal Mike, Johnny Chromatic, Chilsack, and Rob(bassist?) gearing up for the show getting their stuff together. Baz was nowhere to be seen....
The show started and Baz came in the side door right in fromt of the seats we were in headed right to the stage for Slave to the Grind. There was a bit of difficulty it seemed with the equipment as everytime baz would belch out one of his screams the p.a would almost seem like it was gonna blow up! It was up full tilt.
after the second or third song on the setlist Baz pointed out his Mom in the audience, and some of his freinds that lived in the area, sombody yelled out Kid Wikkid! he seemed to really get a kick out of that.
The Crowd really was pumped up, by this time I was standing next to the bar throwing back My double's almost as fast as the bartender could serve em up. With one foot on my chair I was screaming the lyrics along to Bazs singing and got a few looks some good some bad....
Baz and his band DID play Love is a bitch slap, by your side, and American Metalhead(actually changed the words to Canadian metal head) And one other somwhat new track which slips my mind at the moment but is definatlly listed in this forum somewhere.
During 18 and life Baz dedicated the song to go out to Ricki of the Trailer Park Boys. This was the first hint the boys were around.
A couple of songs later Bubbles with a guitar and the rest of the boys(Ricki and Julian) joined the boys on stage for a stint of Closer to the heart By Rush, and then bubbles did a song he usually saves for down at the legion. Its about the finer things in life- Liqour and whores, cigarettes , dope, bologna, and mustard.
The boys stuck around for I remember you, I left half way through for a smoke out back and bumped into the trailer park boys. Real down to earth kinda guys. I harrased them for their autographs and hung out for 10 minutes then bummed a smoke off Ricki. Ha me bummin a smoke of Ricki, kind of poetic no?
While I was Hangin out back I missed The anthum "Youth Gone Wild!" along with Baz's exit. I prceeded to get Baz's bands autographs which I was able to get everyones but sebastians. Then I met up with "Make It Your Business" and talked about their performance, and got their autographs as well as their cd. I really liked their bassist and drummer whom My wife and I hung with for almost two hours after the show outside baz's tourbus eating/drinking those little liqour chocolates. They seemed to like my compliments since they came from an old guy I guess, the drummer gave me one of his sticks.
Oh and the drummer was only 18-shhhhhh.
I waited till almost 4:30 to get the last autograph of the night from baz, but he just never came off the bus once he was on. Cant really blame him though, all his family and old time friends were there to see him.
Seems like Baz invited the trailer park boys to tour the rest of eastern Canada with him on his bus since they boarded with their luggage.
When I left there was only two people waiting outside bazs bus waiting for a glimpse of the metal god. I cant help wonder if they succeeded? But after two hours of standing in the warm rain I finally had enough. besides I dont need a divorce this early in my marriage. hats off to my wife for putting up with my sh@t!
Baz still has it man!

My review of the Whitby show is somewhat different. After an OUTRAGEOUS! night at the ACC the night before(got home at 7:30am!) I talked my boss into letting me come into work 4 hours late, so I could check out the Whitby show at Johnny B's. The club its self was brand new(and one of the nicest I've been to in awhile!) I thought the crowd was really friendly and cool. A few people actually came up to me and commented on the t-shirt I was wearing(from the very first "Skids" tour with Bon Jovi, they'd never seen that particular shirt before.) No one looked "rough" to me, although I was up against the stage the whole time(during the show anyways, and never noticed what was going on behind me!) The set was awesome! Even better than the night before.(maybe it was the small club atmosphere) The energy from Bas, the band and the crowd was amazing! Sebastian was concerned with the mixing and the sound but I don't think the crowd noticed at all until he pointed it out. We still dug it! Charlie's band was really good! There were a few songs that really stuck out. They have more of a "radio sound" then Bas's band(if that makes any sense?!) The Trailer Park Boys were cool. They did two songs with Bas, as apposed to the night before's one song. Bubbles was walking in the crowd for a bit without his glasses on and I had no idea who he was, until he was going "backstage." The band was awesome! Really cool about taking photo's and hanging out talking with everyone. Bobby and I talked for awhile about the record, MySpace, and he also told me a few "Bach Basement stories" Mike is a crazy dirty mined fucker! (like myself!!!) right off the bat while I was talking to the bass player, he got my attention and made a lewd comment(I LOVED IT!!!!!) We joked back and forth for a while. We took a few photo's, drank some beer, and shot the shit. It was actually really surreal, talking to both Bobby and Mike it felt like I was talking with an old buddy. Like we picked up where we last left off(even though we'd never met before) All the guys were really easy to talk with. They didn't just want to hear how great they were but they each posed alot of questions back (about various things, mostly NOT music related!) Great choice in bandmates Bas! I was actually really surprised that Sebastian didn't come back out afterwards. I'm pretty close friends with the guy that book's the gig's for the club. He was going to take my friends and I on the bus, but after talking to Sebastian, Shamus said "Maybe another time" for whatever reason. He had ALOT of family there, and he had partied until 6:00am the night before as well, so who know's(?). Overall, I was really impressed with "two day whirlwind" that was the Sebastian Bach Tour '06! The 'Bach' name is only a stage name and sebastian owns the rights to 'sebastian bach' name. So Charlie wouldn't use that name at all. I'm sure he's totally happy with the Bierk name since his Dad is also well known. (not that Baz isn't proud of that name). But 'Bach' is used for 'stage purpose' only pretty much. And I'm sure he doesn't want to ride on his bro's coat tails.

Why use the Bach last name I don't know where I come from it's all 4, 1 & 1 for all. Doing his own thing dose not mean he can not Identify that he & Sebastian are Brothers.

The last Name Bach came from Johan Sebastian Bach While Sebastian has his name registered & copy written copy writing the last name Bach would never work & Charlie using the last name could help rasie the popularity of his band. Lets face it everyone knows Sebastian

And Baz was named after 'John Sebastian' from the old group 'The lovin spoonful' He (john sebastian) also sung the theme song and wrote it from the old show 'Welcome Back Kotter'. Just a little trivia.

I'm not too concerned that he'll be able to find his way on his own as well. PS. Fantastic Whitby reviews guys (and girls). You really brought me to the stage, Thanks !
