opening band was called 2 doors down, or something to that regard (i'm horrible name-wise, so bear with me). they consisted of lead singer, bass, 2 guitarists, drummer, and bongo player (you read that right!!). they set a good tone to the night right off the bat. the bongo player was cool/fun to watch...he was sooo into their songs when he wasn't playing, and then when it was his turn, he tried so hard to be heard over the guitars, etc...but it was really fun watching him. 1 guitarist was an asian kid (they were all real young, 21 yrs old tops), who carried the low/heavy end of the guitar work, with the rythmic jumping up n down which is so popular with todays groups...the other guitarist carried the more classic metal high end guitar...bass player, well i watched him, still don't know if he played more than 2 or 3 notes, but i'm not gonna bash him...singer sang in the throaty death metal style, which really didn't help with understanding lyrics, but all in all, like i said, they set a good tone to the night.-cont-
