You know the first signs of spring when you see flowers already in bloom and leaves on rose bushes. And we can't forget the warm sunshine. Such a beautiful day.

Isn't it funny how, by plane, we're all so close but weather wise we're a million miles apart.

Congratulations to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Awesome game. wow! what a GAME!! It had everything in it, down to the 'Tippy Toe Touchdown' and 'Excessive Roughness Penalty' Breaking some records too. It was one great game! Yeah, that one will go down in the books! lol Glad they won! They are the only team to win 6 Superbowls.

He organized the whole Lincoln exhibit that was done at his school and our newspaper, the Honolulu Advertiser posted a video about it and they interviewed him.

I wanted to share more photos of the MS Gulf Coast. Before the storm, these majestic oak trees were about 300 years old. Hurricane Katrina killed these oak trees. These are carvings done by a man in Florida. He took our dead oaks and carved some wonderful life back into them. He actually volunteered his time into doing this. The county offered to pay him for his services. He turned them down. All he asked of the county is that they pay for his room while he was here. He would come for about 2 or 3 weeks at a time. He still has more he has started. There are alot more than just these that I am showing you. These carvings all are on Highway 90 (Beach Blvd) starting just west of Beau Rivage Casino Biloxi, MS and extend to Long Beach, MS.

Those are great carvings. The Dolphins and Marlin remind me of an artist named Wyland who is from the North Shore here and whose work I love. I collect his miniature figures. But he does life size sculpture and paintings as well.

Also sells his life size carvings in minature form and totems. Thanks.
