I went to WalMart on the 20th to get the album and they had it buried. It took me like 10 minutes to find it. I finally did find it and I put a couple cd's out front on the new release display. I was in WalMart today and noticed that there were some stocked on the New Release display. I really hope this album does well. It is so much better than most of the radio garbage today. WELCOME to the board, wmyers, so you like the new CD. good. Welcome..

my first impression...
Sebastian Bach has finally released Angel Down! The angel fell to earth on November 20th 2007 with thunderous applause! Every article on the album has something positive...if not whole reviews themselves. They beam about how Bach has not missed a beat with each track, from thunderous drums, to his screaming vocals and heart-stopping ballads this song has something for everyone! Not to mention every article has posted something or another about Axl being on 3 tracks! If you missed rock and you want something with heart and fist-pumping adrenaline or maybe you miss those awestruck ballads from long ago, please do yourself a favor and pick this one up now! If you don't, you will regret it.

So I picked this bad boy up at Circuit City a couple days ago. I had a little trouble finding it because they filed it under "S" for Sebastian instead of "B" for Bach. That seemed backwards to me. Anyway, some CDs hook me right away, and some grow on me over time. This one hooked me right away AND is growing on me. lol ..It's actually a much better album than I thought it would be. I don't mean that as a slam. I figured it would be okay, but I didn't expect to like every track on the the disk. Love Is A Bitchslap has kind of a dated sound to me though. Doesn't mean it's bad. I just think it would have fit nicely on the first Skid Row CD I think American Metalhead is a much better song than German Metalhead, and if you know what song that is....well those were fun times, weren't they? I'm always a sucker for Seb's ballads, and I really like By Your Side. There are only 2 things about it that annoy me, but I'm a picky mutha trucka so f#!@ me, and that is the first "to look yew weeen thee I yi".. and I kinda wish he had used the growl timbre in his voice a little more sparingly and sang the high parts of this song clean...especially at the end" BUT, that's his artistic choice to make. Over all, I think this CD is flippin' great. My favorite since Frameshift2. And THANK YOU! Sebastian for having Axl on this. His additions sound awesome, especially on Stuck Inside, OMFG! So Congrats on the CD dude! In related news, I looked up the new Skid Row cd on Amazon to hear the samples...I was curious because ThickSkin didn't absolutely suck, just kinda sucked....and I must say...wow...it was really really bad. So I think it's pretty cool that Baz's CD A) can actually be found in a store and not only on the internet B) Is released through a subsidiary of a major record label and not "Rachel's fax machine" C) has a artwork that looks professional instead of home made and printed on Scotti's bubble jet and D) contains great music.... can't say that about those other guys...so don't hold a grudge against them for kicking you out Baz. It seems you're better off. Otherwise you'd be singing bad country and be doing a horrible Flogging Molly impression right now. Peace Out!

i cant really say for the whole album coz i havent heard it all only songs clips of some,
but i will give an opinion on a song coz i just have to,
negative light- what an incredible metal song, amazing is the word, its heavy, its raw, and most suprisingly its thrashy, its sounds like something pantera or megadeth would do, amazing is all i can say,
i just want the cd now
and i recall someone hating this song on the gnr board, yeah....right lol

I think Baz should start a proper topic on Angel Down under the Sound & Vision part of this message board.. or can the moderators do it ?

I like them better and hear more with each play... So what Exactly does Axl say at the end of Bitch Slap after Baz says "Chew on THAT"? I'm hearing "I didn't tell him to do that" ... or I didn't tell him he could do that"?

Just got home a few min ago with my first"Angel Down" I love the vynil look of it,the poster inside(which is always too tiny for my expansive taste ;D)...The one I won as a prize is more likely to arrive after Christmas. Ok,I understand, while most of you here have listened to it maybe a hundred times by now,it's my first audition("thanks"to those Amazon mutha'fuckers !!! lol ). I first dropped by the studio,to make sure I live the intesity at the max!!! I always need to be alone when first listening to some new material, coz I want to really focus on it and unleash the beast in me Now that I've cooled down a bit,I won't say that is Killer or "Fuckin'Rules" or any other clishe...I just wanna thank God once again that I survived the last year car accident(21st Nov),to get to witness the Return of the Master! I know I am maniac. Most of the time.

First impression: so many good songs that it was hard to grasp.
Second impression: so many good and diverse songs. From modern and brutal to melodic ala 80's heavy metal. Impressing production and vocals. I'm nailed to the wall!!!
Third impression: Love it!!!
From 1 to 5. Production: 5/5 Vocals: 5/5 Songwriting: 4/5
14 tracks are on there and some are better than others, but bottom line is: for being 14 tracks it's a bit surprising and impressing that the CD holds such a good quality all the way through.

i finally got the album
all i can say is this an amazing heavy metal album, i heard a reviewer say this is the metal album of the decade, and i totally agree,
from the lyrics to the heavy riffs to the vocals its all metal heaven, 10 out of 10,
sebastian has always proven he is true rocker, and this cd proves it yet again just like all his other cds, a true american metal head,
and love is a bitchslap sounds like it should be on appetite for destruction, its a sleazy hard rock n roll song, should definitly be a single,
as for the rest of of the songs just kick ass quality metal and some amazing ballads, i cant believe how heavy this album is, and axl sounds like the old days, the back in the saddle cover is far heavier than the original and they do it proudly,
definitly worth the wait for the return of true metal and his band kick major ass, \m/

It's hard to imagen reviews who gives the album 2 out of 5. It's at least 3 out of 5, minimum. But for me it's 4-5 out of 5.

haha yeah, but i dont play it in order,
i cant believe how raw and heavy the cd is, i notice things more tho when i listen to the songs again, and say wow thats a good idea or that fits well, does anyone else?
some examples like the dark keyboard sound in by your side, its not all through the song its somewhere near the beginning and it sounds and adds like a darker sound as he is singing, really fits good,
also the building up near the end on you dont understand with the screams and riffs is fantastic,
and live and die near the end does the same and baz says some words and then screams and the guitars riffs are heavy and the drums are just goin crazy truly kickass
and sebastian is a very good songwriter,
this album is kickass metal and hard rock and the ballads are amazing,

7 years is quite a while, lol, but then again wasnt he also busy acting and things these past 7 years, so that also could be why it took that time, and he payed for the album himself.

No doubt,he was busy. In fact In that 7 years we still got 2 CDs & a DVD so Slap me lol there where also guest appearances on Tribute CD's & original songs cut. In reality it has only been 2 years since his last studio project. And of course the Broadway musicals,TV projects & touring
