The whole album is a killer but now my favourites are:
Falling into you, You don't understand - these two songs I still play like at least 4 times a day and I keep humming You don't understand all the time. And also my favourites are also Negative Light, Live & Die, By Your Side.
I listen to the album every day in train when I go to work and back home. Angel Down is marvelous and brilliant album. IMO the best record that Baz has ever made.

Hi everyone! My first impression was "This is too loud! Too metal" "I grew old and Baz didn't!!" Now, after a couple of weeks of daily headphone treatment, songs that didn't seem my style are gaining force, I'm assimilating lyrics (at first I was shocked, I didn't understand a word, not the english, but the meaning) and I spend all day humming the last song I heard before switching off the mp3.
Angel Down is a record that grows in you, not the easy-listening stuff that you hear once and already heard it all.
Love the album and the sensation that there is still new music to discover out there. It's been years since I last heard something that caught my attention and I was reallyy tired of listenting to the same 80s and 90s records I have.
Well, that's it! KISSes! Romina

i've picked up my copy of Angel Down and Baz mate, this rocks i'm both a classically trained singer and a fully-fledged metal frontman who'se toured the UK in a metal band, and Australia in an acoustic act. you mate, have still got it.
i love the combinations of some old school style tracks with some much more up-to-date sounds. there's even inklings of Trivium-style composition (Track 2), A7X (Track 11) as well.
the inclusion of Axl adds perfectly to what you've done here. even if he wasn't Axl, his inclusion would have been a great idea, and it's all the better just because of who he is.
huge congratulations on continuing to do the business, looking forward to seeing you on tour soon xx

You know how sometimes you buy CDs of bands and most of the time, just a couple or a few of the tunes are kick ass and the rest is just...... Fillers
Angel Down is FIERCE from jam 1 to 14 !!!!!! ALL of it KICKS FUCKIN ASS! Baz, is just RAW the musicians, EXQUISITE the lyrics MASTERFUL Axl? A bang up job too!
Honestly cannot nail down a one 'favorite' song off of Angel Down. But I have to admit, that the opening song 'Angel Down' was CRAZY HOT .. & that momentum didn't cool off ALL through the CD.
Baz is god

Hi, I've just signed up especially to post my appreciation for Angel Down, which I finally got around to picking up earlier this week.
I think the album is absolutely fantastic. It's been a long time coming but well worth the wait. I just hope we don't have to wait so long for the next one. It's been playing constantly in my car and home for the last few days. In fact, this could be the album that finally convinces me to join the 21st century and get an iPod!
I've been a fan since '89 when Skid Row was the first ever concert I went to, in Sheffield, UK. About ten years ago I emailed Bas and told him about how much I loved that show and was completely stoked to get a really appreciative and enthusiastic reply. I know in these days where everyone's got a MySpace or whatever that's nothing out of the ordinary, but back then to exchange a few emails with a personal idol really made my month!
Don't make us wait another 8 years for another record Bas, and please consider adding some UK dates to the Angel Down tour!

i love angel down! not because it's baz but because it really is an exceptionally outstanding cd! here we have a guy whose career spans 20 odd years who has recorded a cd that not only caters to his loyal fanbase, but can be appreciated by any music lover, no matter what age demographic they fall in or genre of music they are into. angel down is awesome because a person who doesn't even know who skid row or sebastian bach are (shame on them! but you know what i'm getting at) can pick up the album and instantly FEEL the history and immediately jump on the baz bandwagon. baz has kept true to his roots and style, yet experimented with and weaved in today's CURRENT sound. he is in tune with and aware of the music scene/s today and with angel down, he has gone about "keeping up with the times" the right way! awesome work baz! LOVE IT!

My first impression of Angel Down was thank god it shits all over the new skid row album. Tracks like American Metalhead and By Your Side would have gone top 40 in the day. Is good to see he hasn't sold out and the album has an oldschool feel to it.

Well, my first impression of Angel Down I've already posted, this is my CURRENT impression of Angel Down after listening to it a million times (I've listened to my copies of the CD so much that I'm surprised they still play 8) ) Hehe... I ended up buying 5 copies of Angel Down. One for my CD player at home.. one for the road in my Jeep.. one went to my best friend's mother who was ailin' from chemotherapy.. one I gave to the Nightclub I work at in Emerald Isle and the last one to my fave local Metal radio station.. to make sure they fuckin' play it.. ANYWAY! Current analysis: STILL ADDICTED !!! This Album is stellar, what a fun ride ! It's got something for everyone, whether you're an old rocker, a young rocker or in between (like me) At first I could NOT pick any favorite songs on the CD, they ALL fucking kick ass ! But after a million times of listening NOW I have my faves from the CD here they are: AMERICAN METALHEAD - What a classic sounding jam, delivered raw and screamin' hardcore as ONLY our Baz can do it !! This is also the most requested Baz song in the club I work at !! YOU DONT UNDERSTAND - Soooo LOVE that smoother howl of Baz's in this one (Baz's vocal range ability throughout this whole CD is INCREDIBLE) and the rhythm of this song is delicious and fast ! The lyrics also, for some reason make me think of the US troopes in Iraq and the risks they go and went through every day in the war zones.. I wonder if that was behind this song, or something else.. FALLING INTO YOU - This song sounds almost theatrical !! Not to mention the lyrics are just WICKED.. "You take me, break me, build me up and then forsake me.." INTENSE! STUCK INSIDE - This was a MASTER STROKE by Baz and Axl ! Wicked and sexy as hell, they did a bangup job on this one! If anyone HASN'T bought ANGEL DOWN they are losing out big time !!! And I have confidence that Angel Down WON'T be the LAST kickass CD that Baz puts out before all is said and done !

YES! Love the new album ANGEL DOWN even got the one w/DVD It totally F@#kin' ROCKS! maybe even HARDER than some of the other stuff out there! Sorry I may be a little late getting it, but I did'nt even know it was out last yr, Only heard aboutt it when I heard Bach was going to be in Gone Country 2, but I guess the CD/DVD just came out this summer anyway. Long time Skid Row fan (even though I may have been 9 or 10 at the time, saw the new band open up a few yrs ago w/KISS needless to say I was disappointed when Bach was'nt there. Definately has a little something for everyone from rock, hardrock, metal or thrash/metal! You can tell it's kind of from where SLAVE TO THE GRIND left off put still sounding more modern with today's metal without the rap/metal crap. Why in the HELL is this album not getting any radio airplay? Like the duet w/Axl "Back In The Saddle" and "Stuck Inside" is WICKED! "Love Is a BitchSlap" is just a classic sleaze metal song to jam too! "Negative Light" makes me want to start a mosh pit and literally makes my windows rattle in my apt when I crank it up! "By Your Side" is a very emotional, beautiful song! SHOULD BE ON THE TOP 40 COUNTDOWN! DEFINITELY glad I got it! Certainly NOT dissappointed! Rock On "MUTHA TRUCKERS!"

Its been a while but, When I went to get it it took me exactly the amount of time to walk from where I found it to the cash register to buy it. No reason for doubt it was Sebastian, I knew it would be Fucking Great. The man doesn't disapoint. I put it on and it knocked me on my ass it was great I hated to turn it off when I got back to class. Fucking Teachers and I played it over and over when I got home. American Metal Head is my favorite, its such a Fucking Balls to the Wall unabashed declaration of Metal Pride as only Bas can deliver. He has always shared what he believes in and there is no better song that defines, his true and never ending love for Metal like this one. All I have to say is " Fucking Right Dude!" You don't understand meant and means a lot too me because I hate the war in Afghanistan being Canadian, I support our soldiers but I hate hearing about them being killed in such senseless ways it makes me both sad and angry that I can't do anything as our kids are dying over there. I want to dedicate this one to our brave soldiers who died fighting an enemy they couldn't see. Fuck War! Love is a Bitchslap, title says it all. Bas and Axl, sound killer together. Negative Light, oh my god the guitars in the middle, I just don't know what to say but "Fuck Yeah!" They just feel so Good, its painful. and as I listened to" By your side" tonight I could sense that it's almost like Sebastian is crying almost in that song. He breaks my heart a bit with this one. It reminds me a lot of "Wasted Time". You can here his voice tremble at times with the sadness in his heart as he sings about his father. Yet when he sings about Paris, you can here the love brimming over in his heart. I can picture both tears of sadness and loss of an Amazing and beloved dad who left his adoring son far to soon. As well as tears of incredible love for a son in whom he feels his father lives on. Its one of his greatest gifts, to not only share what is in his heart but bring you right in there, no matter how intimate or painful, and make you experience everything going on inside. All in all this album takes over where Slave leaves off. In fact, scratch that, even though Slave is my all time Favorite Skids Record Angel Down fucking blows it out of the water and pisses all over it. This album just Wins on all Fucking Levels!!!!!!!!!
