i only tune to mtv to watch the real world but now that's gotten to be boring . every season i keep saying i'm gonna stop watching but i wind up watching the train wreck that it is everytime

Youth was the first song I heard on the radio and decided I liked it. Didn't have Mtv though, so didn't know it was Skid Row. I would go to a friend's house to watch Mtv and had started listening to Motley Crue because she got me listening to them and guys like Kiss,etc.
On break from school, I bleached my hair blonde because of the Van Halen video California Girls. When I returned to school, I was standing in the lunch line one day and some dude said to me, "Huh, you look like that guy from Skid Row."
I didn't yet know who he was talking about and thought he was insulting me by saying I looked like a dude. LMAO. A few weeks later, at my friend's house, she calls me into the living room and says, "Hey, here's that song we like."
It was the video for Youth on Mtv. Then she said to me, "Hey, didn't you mention this band to me?"
It took us a few minutes to piece it together but we both finally realized Sebastian was the dude the guy at school was talking about.
Sebastian must have been the easiest person for a girl to look like back then, I tell you. LMAO.
All you had to be was really lanky and blonde and since I was so young still, I was both.
What I wouldn't give to look like Sebastian now that I'm 30. LMAO.

Youth Gone Wild was the first song I heard and since then, I was hooked on Skid Row. I got unhooked when Sebastian was out of the band.

"Youth Gone Wild" was the first video I saw of Skid Row. At first, I wasn't sure if I liked the song because it seemed as if it was trying to be too "anthem-y" in that self-conscious way, just like P.O.D's "Youth of America" song (which I just loathe). But on a few more listens and watching the video, I became hooked on the song, the aggressive and rebellious video and a man called Sebastian Bach. My sister and I were like: "ummm, who is that, pray tell?".

Youth Gone Wild, some days later i got the Moscow Music Peace Festival VHS and it blew me away. got the debut album and piece for piece, rest is history

Yes MTV sucks today. they only play this "give me the money" music with that pop, electronic, rap shit. I can't stand it!!! It even doesn't deserve the word "music". who plays a instrument there? only a few good bands are in the rotation there but that's the exception. There was a time MTV send the moscow music peace festival but what they do today? it gets down

I may have heard Sweet Little Sister or 18 And Life a long time ago, but I'm not certain. I know the first song of Skid Row's I clearly remember hearing was Slave To The Grind. I didn't care for it at first, but it grew on me quickly. Now it's my favorite headbanging song.  |

18 and life.....it was kinda funny too...cause...i just purchased forever wild out of curiousity....never herd of Sebastian before then...cause i have boreing parents that listen to rap and blues ....so i bought the dvd and poped it in...went to the chapter selection and clicked on 18 and life....from then on I was an instant fan XP...
