Oh... this takes me back Some kid at school loaned me his Skid Row and Slave to the Grind tapes. I remember listening first to one album, then the other, and being utterly enthralled. I listened to nothing else for weeks - my parents must have been climbing the walls! So my first Skid Row song was Big Guns. It's not my absolute favourite (In a Darkened Room is probably my all-time fave song of any band) but that first note still gives me chills.

"I Remember You" - I remember my friend telling me about this band called Skid Row she played me the song and video, it was like my head exploded I was instantly hooked. I was so mesmerized by Baz'z voice, he sounded & looked like an angel. I hadn't heard anyone sing quite like he does such a rare gift he has

I was 12 and my big brother (who's two years older) was jamin to this music. I stood outside the door and listened it. I was hooked I badgered and pleaded with him to let me borrow the Tape. I had to hear that voice again it was amazing! My Mom went and bought me my own Skid row tape so me and my bro wouldn't argue. A few weeks later I saw them on MTV, I was sold I fell for Sebastian. Thats a teenager for you. The first song I heard was youth gone wild.

Youth Gone Wild! It was my first ever experience hearing Bach's amazing voice, that song still fits today!
18 and Life we all loved, my boyfriend's name was Rich and they called him Ricky, and we all know Ricky is the star of 18 and Life so all of our friends used to get drunk and sing that when we were hanging out. Oh, the good old days!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first song my husband ever heard was Youth Gone Wild debut in 1989 on MTV's Smash or Trash. The same time they were running Metallica's one video through the ground. They were good about doing that back then.
Of course, my first song that I heard from them was I Remember You. Still love the song. My husband played it for me about 14 years ago.

I think it was either Youth gone wild or I remember you or 18 and life. They stand out the most from when I was younger.
played those videos over and over when I was a kid.
I also remember when I saw them the first time, it was at the Bon Jovi Concert on the New Jersey Tour, they were opening up, its a vague memory but its still there. Oddly that's all I remember about that concert.
Ahh, Memories.
I love them even more today, even though I don't remember much from those days.

I think, the first I heard was 18 & life, and The Song and the Video blew me away. The Voice, The guitars,...the great look of the singer ;D It was my favorite for a long time quote:...I also remember when I saw them the first time, it was at the Bon Jovi Concert on the New Jersey Tour, they were opening up, ... They did not open this tour in Germany, I was at the Bon Jovi New Jersey Tour Concert, 1989 and would have loved to see Skid Row, but they only opened in the USA.

Welcome to the board. Hubby saw them on the New Jersey tour as well here in the States. But the first video that he saw was "Youth Gone Wild" that got him liking Skid Row cause he could relate to the song at the time. LOL!! Hope to see more posts from you in the future.
