I love anything with Jackie Chan. He hasn't lost any of his moves. Steven Seagal has slowed down some.

I also like anything action. Last Wednesday night, I say the movie RunDown with the Rock (former WWE Wrestler). Awesome movie. I also saw the gift. I got both movies for Christmas. I also like Drama movies. And now that Toby Keith is also making movies, I have both of his movies-Broken Bridges and Beer for my Horses.

Not a big fan at all of Bond. Rundown was funny. I do like Patrick Swayze, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Julia Roberts, Richard Gere and Sandra Bullock. Who is your favorite(s)?

Here's another "favorite" topic for discussion. What is your favorite movie or movies? And how many times have you already seen that movie? What movie or movies would you like or plan to see?

My favorite movie of all time is A HARD DAY'S NIGHT. I have said before that I am a Beatlemaniac. I have seen the movie at least 100 times. I went with 6 other girls and one boy the day it premiered in the US. My cousin Michael (the only boy) went to laugh at all of us silly girls. My friend Mary Ann didn't dissappoint him, she stood on the chair during AND I LOVE HER, and cried so hard she fell off it. A gret memory. Another one is that during one spring break, it was playing in my local theater that only cost a dollar to get in. Me and my friend Maureen went every day to the opening show, and stayed until closing at night. I think I saw it 50 times that one week! I can still recite dialog from it.
I don't go to the movies very often anymore. I did see the Wrestler and thought it was good. I loved the 80's metal music and the one scene in bar where they are talking music. I nearly spit my water out I laughed so hard at his wisecrack about Cobain.

Thank you for posting that, even if it did make me feel ancient. One of my husbands favorite songs is Chantilly Lace. He does a mean Big Bopper imitation. Seeing Cousin Brucie's name bought back a ton of memories for me - late nights under the covers with the transistor glued to my ear, hoping to hear some of my favorite teen idols like Elvis, Ricky Nelson and Bryan Hyland. And of course as I got older, the Beatles. Brucie, Harry Harrison and Murry the K were my favorite DJ's. The "day the music died" may by a sad memory, but you bought back a lot of good ones for me.

Oh Oh, talk about freaky coincidences, my itunes set on shuffle, just brought up Peter and Gordon singing Buddy Holly's song TRUE LOVE WAYS. Maybe the music didn't die, the spirits must be active.

I know it was a sad time for alot of people, but like you said their spirits still do live on. I wasn't around at the time their music came out. But I have watched the movies on each of the 3 singers from that tragic night. I LOVE the classic rock n roll. The classic rock n roll artists from then actually set the stage for todays artists. I guess no matter how old we get, we will always remember and love the classics. But it was like you said, yes may be a sad memory, but the good memories out-weigh that single tragic night. ;D

It's also a coincidence that I went back to some of the early music that is mentioned in the book. One of the main influences on John Lennon and Paul McCartney as song writers was Buddy Holly. The book says that John was particularly influenced by Holly, because he was an ordinary guy who made it seem like anyone could be a rock star. John also wore the same style glasses as Holly, and the Beatles covered at least one of his songs.

This article and our posts got me thinking about something else. You said that their spirits still live on. And you're right. Here on the MS Gulf Coast the first week in October, we have what we call Cruisin' the Coast. It's a week long event with ALL the classic cars along with the classic music. It is awesome. People from all over come to the coast for the event. Even if they don't have a classic car. Almost like spring break the first week of October.

There is always something going on here. Anything from shows, concerts to events. We have seafood festivals, crawfish fesivals (yuk), fairs, cruisin' the coast, mardi gras, St Pattys day. Some of the casinos have some of the concerts. This is one of the Casinos that I have already seen 2 concerts at already. This is the Hard Rock Casino Resort in Biloxi. Right next door to that is the Beau Rivage Casino Resort. I have seen a couple of shows at the Beau Rivage. But nothing lately.

Hahah yep and im an idiot because i decided to give up BEER for 50 days right in the middle of a Heatwave!!!! An ice cold Beer on a hot night is PERFECT....alas I have sworn off it....I can feel myself caving in under the pressure though!! Rain??? Whats THAT??? We havent had rain for MONTHS!! Our water storage levels are sitting at 30% the lowest in history....we cant water our gardens, cant wash the car, have to limit our showers to 4min maximums to save water....we are running out of water in Melbourne. Sounds silly I know, seeing as Australia is surrounded by Ocean. Hey all Back again School Holidays over now maybe I can get back to some normal computer time LOL Still trying to tidy house though little people make a mess...Missed you all... Wow cannot believe the heat there dogface.. usually Queensland has that kinda heat but has not been too bad here this summer all though some hot days nothing like that yet... Our dams are starting to fill now we have had a bit of rain lately, I live near one of the main dams of Queensland Wivenhoe.. and a little history here... but wivenhoe they basically where in rush to build dam and they took around 200 old farm house to make dam, they where in such a rush they never cleared the land just basically flooded it.. Wivenhoe got so low that you could actually see the ruins that have been underwater for 20 years .. My friend and I use to love going fossicing there... found lots of old stuff we would walk for hours... I just loved it so interesting... but now Wivenhoe is pretty much full again we are still on water restrictions though I think no matter how much rain we get they will never stop restrictions... I miss the long showers and washing car, and playing under hose sad kids cannot do that one... Glad to see you back! ... 2 questions:... What are the ruins of Wivenhoe ( was this a city?) And what is fossicing? Sounds like fun "We are going fossicing at Wivenhoe"

does anybody know who sings "Back in the Saddle again" on the movie Shanghai Noon? Ha! now I know why you asked... Yes, it is Aerosmith but they have a lot of action noises going on surrounding that escape from the gallows scene. .. sounds like they stripped some of the musical parts too.... you can hear Steven's voice at parts of it, but at first you have to wonder if it's really him or not. It was his throaty vocals on the word 'again' that I knew ...and Steven's scream starts to fade out in the scene so it's hard to hear that. Pretty small clip of the song overall, so maybe if I couldn't rewind and replay, I'd not have caught who did that song. (I have'nt gotten to the credits yet _ had to take a break in the middle of the movie and watch the rest tomorrow or Sat. Did you ever see the outtakes from that movie. Jackie is not really knowing the english launguage yet when he made that movie. It was a lot of fun for everyone
