Im excited today because my Band is in the Studio tonight doing some "Pre Production" on 11 songs that will shape our Album. We then go in to record the CD in 4 weeks, so its all happening!

Time to bring this thread to life again. I know I haven't been on here in a while. Thought I would share something with all of you. I have recently found out that my 2 girls are making me a grandma in 2011. ;D I am so excited. Triplets in January. And no due date yet on the recent one. I will keep you posted.  Wonderful news! Triplets too! ;D |

Ok well....here's a story (I might have told this before I cant remember..haha) So...I can remember in 1994 listening to an interview with Sebastian Bach on Australian Radio...anyway the interviewer asked Baz what bands he was really getting into at that time, what new bands....straight away he came out with "There is a Band from New Zealand called "Shihad" and I love them, they just put out an album and it rocks" (or words to that effect...it WAS a long time ago ) anyway so the very next day I went to the Record Store and I found the album and Band he was talking about....I bought the Album without listening to it or hearing any of it...I thought "If Baz says its good, then it must be good"...I put it in the CD player and, sure enough, it ROCKED!!! It was called "Killjoy" and as I said the Band is called "Shihad"....I urge you all to check it out. SO...the point of my story? Well, since that very day I have been a HUGE fan of Shihad, and I never would have heard of them if it wasnt for Baz's recommendation....Ive seen them many times, met the Band, great guys all of them...anyway so TONIGHT, they are playing a special show where they are playing this particular album "Killjoy", in full....and IM GOING. And, tommorrow night, they are playing the album they released after that called "The General Electric" (which is as good as Killjoy, maybe even better!) in its entirety as well!! AND IM GOING TO THAT SHOW AS WELL!!!! So...im pretty pumped for a huge weekend! And on Sunday, my band Dead Star Renegade begins recording our Debut Album! So its all happening! "Killjoy" is right up there with my favorite Albums of all time, and its cause of Sebastian Bach that I discovered them, so its a really special night for me tonight and I cant f***ing wait!! |

Sounds good. You will have to give us a review when you get back from the shows. Sebastian has turned us on to some great music. Including his own. He's also the reason a lot of us have become "in person" friends not just a name on a message board.
A bunch of us have thanked him for that too. Enjoy your shows and break a leg with your album.

I know we are not supposed to promote other bands on here so thats cool, im not gonna break the rules (although I probably have - apologies Baz  ) so i'll probably PM a few of you on Wednesday with the link to the song....unless the Mods dont mind if I post it up here? Looking forward to hearing it Dogface. You've put so much work into this and deserve the excitement AND success I'm sure is coming your way.
I think it's great to have our second favorite rockstar sending us messages on the Board. It's in the spirit of what it was designed for after all haha. So I hope the mods don't mind.
